With the AI plans, however, the math looks quite different: If you choose Google AI Pro, you’ll save about 26 euros over the course of a year compared to subscribing directly through Google—and you don’t have to do a thing, simply because the subscription is processed through Telekom.
Requirements and Cancellation
The discount applies only to customers with an active mobile phone contract with Telekom. The option is booked directly in the MeinMagenta app; separate registration with Google is not required. All four packages can be canceled on a monthly basis; there is no minimum contract term. Additionally, the purchased storage can be shared with up to five other people—a feature already familiar from the standard Google One subscription.
Google AI Plus and Pro: More Than Just Storage Space
Starting with the 2-TB tier, Google One now offers significantly more than just cloud storage. The AI packages unlock expanded access to Google’s AI features in Gmail, Docs, Photos, and other apps—for example, for summarizing documents or editing images.
