Google Pixel 6: German store leaks price, specs and pre-order promotion

We now know that Google will unveil its new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones on October 19. After numerous, partly very detailed leaks, most of the technical specs have been known for a long time. Now the German store Saturn has revealed the final price, confirmed the most important specs and revealed a promotion for pre-orderers.

Pixel 6 shows off in Saturn flyer

German electronics chain Saturn has revealed the price of the new Google Pixel 6 in a flyer released early. The coupon booklet was actually not scheduled until the 41st calendar week and has already been published in the shopping community MyDealz. In fact, the price is lower than we would have initially suspected. Accordingly, the smaller flagship smartphone will be offered for 649.00 Euros in Germany.

Most of the already leaked technical specs were also confirmed in the current brochure. Thus, the new Google smartphone relies on 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, offers a 4620 mAh strong battery and a fingerprint sensor. Also, interestingly, history recognition is offered to unlock the smartphone.

On the back, the Google Pixel 6 relies on a dual-camera system, as suspected, consisting of a 50 megapixel main camera (Samsung GN1) and a 12 MP strong ultra-wide-angle camera. An 8 MP selfie cam works at the front. The 6.4-inch FHD+ display and the Google-developed tensor chip were already known in advance.

Pixel 6: Release and pre-order promotion

As with its predecessor, Pixel 5, Google is once again teaming up with Bose for the Pixel 6 and putting together an exciting bundle for pre-orderers. Instead of the QuietComfort 35 over-ear headphones, Google includes the newer, wireless Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 (257.58 Euros on Amazon) this time. It can be assumed that this bundle will again be available for pre-order at all retailers and that it is not exclusively limited to Saturn.

The pre-order promotion ends on October 27, 2021, which is why we can expect the smartphone to be released on October 28 or 29.

The corresponding offer only applies to the black version of the Pixel 6, the other offered colors are not mentioned. The larger Google Pixel 6 Pro with an additional telephoto lens is also completely absent from the flyer, so we will have to wait and see what price Google will charge for the Pro flagship. Google’s Pixel launch event will take place on October 19 at 7:00 p.m. German time on the search engine giant’s website.
