While iOS users can already lay their hands on the new smartphones of the iPhone 13 model series at the end of this week, Android and especially Google fans are eagerly waiting for the presentation of the new flagship Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro. According to current rumors, Google will present its new smartphones to the public on October 19. Now, a first hands-on video of the Google Pixel 6 Pro has surfaced, showing at least the prototype in action.
PVT unit of the Pixel 6 in the video
Google is preparing a gigantic marketing campaign for its new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones, which is already eagerly awaited by Android followers. After the new Pixel devices already showed up on billboards in New York and adorn the Google Store window, more and more details and supposed leaks are surfacing.
According to current rumors, the made-by-Google hardware event this year will take place on October 19, where the search engine giant might not only unveil the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, but even a foldable smartphone.
Meanwhile, a first hands-on video of the Google Pixel 6 Pro is making the rounds on Twitter, although content creator M. Brandon Lee points out that the smartphone shown is a so-called “PVT unit” – that is, a pre-production model. This also explains why the familiar Google logo does not adorn the smartphone’s back. It is supposed to be 99 percent the same as the final smartphone.

However, the short video does not really provide any new information. At least you can see that the smartphone’s back is quite glossy. Google says that it uses an aluminum frame.
The video shows the black model of the Google Pixel 6 Pro, which will also be available in two other colors (gray and yellow). The video also provides a first look at the display, which is supposed to be a 6.7-inch OLED panel. The expected 12-megapixel front-facing camera is hidden in a punch hole in the upper right corner.
The eye-catching camera bar on the back can also be seen. It reportedly houses a triple-cam setup that will consist of a 50MP main camera, a 12MP wide-angle camera, and a 48MP telephoto zoom camera (4x optical zoom). According to further rumors, the Pixel 6 Pro features a 5,000 mAh battery that can be charged quickly at up to 33 watts.

No rumor is the installed chip, because Google relies on the specially developed Tensor processor for the first time in the Pixel 6 smartphones, which is specifically tailored to the new devices. It is supposed to ensure the “smartest and most secure Google Phones ever”. We will probably find out the final specifications and hardware details in about four weeks.
