A Google Pixel Fold leak has revealed important information including the price and the release date of the foldable smartphone. According to this, it will be ready as early as May 2023.
Google Pixel Fold Leak Reveals Information
The Google Pixel 7 and Google Pixel 7 Pro (our review) will apparently not only be followed by the Pixel 7a next year, but also by a foldable, as a new Google Pixel Fold Leak reveals.
It comes from the well-known leaker Jon Prosser and his YouTube channel Front Page Tech, where details about the price, release date and first render images have been published. The leaker even emphasizes that he is 100% sure that Google’s first foldable will look like this.
According to the leak, the Pixel Fold is expected to launch in a similar form factor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4, but – according to the images – relies on larger display bezels. This should allow the folding smartphone to have a 9.5-megapixel selfie camera without a punch hole or notch.
However, the camera will probably come in a punch-hole on the folding display on the outside. The camera bar on the back is reminiscent of the Pixel 7 Pro including three unspecified lenses. Speakers are also supposed to be used at the top and bottom, and the fingerprint scanner is apparently located in the power button.
Google Pixel Fold Leak: Launch in May 2023?
Furthermore, the Google Pixel Fold Leak states that the tech giant’s foldable smartphone is supposed to be released as early as May 2023, at least in the US. The recommended retail price of the device, known as the codename “Passport”, is said to be $1,799.
Of course, the leaked information should be taken with a grain of salt, as always. Although the leaker is 100 percent sure, he has not always been right with his statements in the past. Google has not officially announced the Google Pixel Fold or revealed any details yet.
