Hardware update for CES 2026: Acer ignites the next level with Intel Core Ultra 3 and RTX 50
The gaming world is looking forward to Las Vegas, where Acer has announced a comprehensive update to its Predator and Nitro series just in time for CES 2026. The focus is not only on new case designs, but above all on the inner workings: With the brand new Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 processors (Panther Lake) and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series laptop GPUs based on Blackwell, state-of-the-art architecture upgrades are moving into the notebooks. The new models are designed as Copilot+ PCs and use dedicated AI computing units to achieve new levels of performance in both gaming and content creation.
- Next-generation CPU: The Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors offer significant efficiency gains thanks to Panther Lake architecture and a powerful NPU for on-device AI.
- Blackwell graphics power: The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series enables smooth 4K gaming and complex AI workflows thanks to DLSS 4 and 5th generation Tensor Cores.
- Brilliant displays: The Predator Helios Neo 16S AI uses a high-resolution WQXGA OLED panel with 165 Hz for perfect contrasts and color fidelity.
Predator Helios Neo 16S AI: High-end performance in a slim format
The new flagship of the Neo series, the Predator Helios Neo 16S AI (PHN16S-I51), breaks with the cliché that gaming powerhouses have to be chunky. With a case height of just 18.9 mm, the metal case houses hardware that was previously reserved for desktop systems. At its heart is the Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor 386H, which works in combination with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU. Thanks to the new Blackwell architecture and 992 AI TOPS (Total Operations Per Second), the system not only handles current AAA titles with activated ray tracing effortlessly, but also massively accelerates creative processes such as 4K video editing or 3D rendering.

A revised thermal system ensures the necessary stability during long gaming sessions. Acer combines a 5th generation AeroBlade 3D metal fan with LiquidMetal thermal paste to efficiently dissipate the waste heat from the up to 115 W GPU. The visual experience is rounded off by a 16-inch WQXGA OLED display with 100% DCI-P3 coverage and HDR support. With up to 64 GB DDR5 RAM (6,400 MT/s) and 2 TB PCIe Gen 4 memory, the notebook also offers sufficient reserves for excessive multitasking and extensive game libraries. Modern interfaces such as Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 6E ensure that connectivity is also kept up to date.
Versatility for beginners and advanced users: the Nitro series
Alongside the Predator lineup, Acer is updating the Nitro V series, which traditionally appeals to a broad target group ranging from students to casual gamers. The Acer Nitro V 16 AI (ANV16-151) offers a good balance between price and performance with the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 355 and an RTX 5070 graphics card. Despite its focus on the mid-range segment, users do not have to do without modern features: DTS:X Ultra Audio provides spatial sound, while an FHD IR webcam including physical privacy shutter ensures security during video conferences and streams. The system supports up to 32 GB of RAM and, thanks to the integrated NPU, offers access to all common Windows 11 AI functions such as live subtitles or the Image Creator.

Those who value mobility even more will find a particularly flat counterpart in the Acer Nitro V 16S AI (AN16S-I51). Despite its slim design, it offers enough power for demanding gaming and productive work on the go. A highlight for individualists is the 4-zone RGB keyboard, which can be customized via the Acer Intelligence Space software.
In addition to the notebooks, Acer also presented matching accessories: The Predator Galea 570 headset with noise suppression and the Predator Cestus 530 mouse with a polling rate of 8,000 Hz complete the setup for competitive gamers who value minimal latency.
Conclusion
With the integration of the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 and the RTX 50 series, Acer underpins its claim to be at the forefront of technology. In particular, the focus on AI-supported functions (AI TOPS) and the simultaneous optimization of the build height show where the journey is heading in 2026: maximum performance with maximum mobility. The Predator Helios Neo 16S AI, the Galea 570 headset and the Cestus 530 mouse will be available in the first quarter of 2026. The Nitro V AI models will follow in the second quarter. The exact prices for the German market will be announced shortly.
