JBL 4305P and Mark Levinson No. 5909 unveiled at CES 2022

As part of the Consumer Electronics Show CES, HARMAN International is previewing new products and technologies with its HARMAN ExPLORE 2022 showcase. In its Luxury Audio division, the company showcased innovations from its Mark Levinson and JBL Synthesis brands. The JBL 4305P bookshelf speaker and Mark Levinson No. 5909 lifestyle headphones are two exciting new products.

JBL 4305P: Powerful, compact studio speakers

With the JBL 4305P Studio Monitor System, Harman Luxury Audio introduces a set of powered speakers aimed at music lovers and content creators alike.

Compact bookshelf-sized, they deliver a whopping 300 watts RMS and 24-bit/192 kHz in wired mode, while wireless still manages 96 kHz. Six inputs support a variety of audio sources. Two digital inputs (USB, optical) and two analog inputs (3.5 mm jack, XLR/TRS) are available.

At the same time, the JBL 4305P also offer an integrated streaming engine via WLAN, LAN or Bluetooth that can play music via Spotify, Tidal and other providers. Network control is optionally possible via Apple AirPlay 2 and Chromecast Built-In.

Mark Levinson No. 5909: High-end lifestyle headphones revealed

HiFi enthusiasts and fans of Mark Levinson will enjoy the brand’s unique sound on the go in the future. This is made possible by the new Mark Levinson No. 5909 lifestyle headphones with active adaptive noise-cancelling and Hi-Res Audio certification.

The over-ear model features powerful 40-millimeter beryllium-coated drivers that are said to map a frequency band up to a superior 40,000 Hz. The headphones combine strong audio quality with high wearing comfort and classy design. The built-in batteries are said to last up to 30 hours with ANC turned on.

Tuned are the No. 5909 according to the so-called HARMAN curve. Mark Levinson’s first headphones also feature Hi-Res Audio certification, capable of handling 24-bit/96kHz. Streaming is via Bluetooth 5.1 with LDAC, AAC and aptX codecs.

Prices and availability

The JBL 4305P studio active speakers are expected to be available in stores before the end of the first quarter of 2022. The manufacturer has not yet named a price. The Mark Levinson No. 5909 will be available from January 2022 in Pearl Black, Ice Pewter or Radiant Red at selected dealers. With an MSRP of around 1,000 Euros, the headphones are truly no bargain.
