The new Harman Kardon Citation MultiBeam 1100 soundbar represents the latest member of the series and leaves little to be desired from a technical perspective. It relies on Harman Kardon’s unique MultiBeam technology and eleven drivers, including two upward-firing channels for Dolby Atmos, to deliver a coherent 3D surround sound complete with massive bass.

The sound mixes of many movie and series productions on various streaming providers are… to put it mildly: mixed. Voices are often kept much quieter than explosions, music and other sounds.

This is where Harman Kardon has PureVoice technology up its sleeve. The center channel is designed for crystal-clear voice reproduction, both in gritty continuous action and in quiet dramas or games. Combined with other Citation components such as the Citation Sub or Sub S subwoofer and Citation surround speakers, the soundbar transforms into a 5.1.2 channel system with powerful cinema bass.

Home entertainment system for all occasions

The MultiBeam 1100 also works with AirPlay, Alexa Multi-Room Music (MRM) and Chromecast built-in, providing access to over 300 streaming services. This allows music playlists, internet radio, podcasts and more to be experienced through a single soundbar. Intuitive controls including an LCD touchscreen, an HDMI-eARC connection, and automatic room calibration provide versatile connectivity and seamless setup. Wirelessly, the soundbar transmits via Bluetooth.

Also offered is automatic sound calibration, which the manufacturer claims is designed to achieve the best possible audio tuning. Via HDMI eARC, you get uncompressed Dolby Atmos surround sound, while 4K passthrough also passes Dolby Vision content through the soundbar.
