Headsets and controllers: Razer introduces new console peripherals

The gaming experts from Razer have introduced some new products that make it clear that PC gamers are no longer the only focus. With customized headsets and gamepads, console gamers can now also enjoy the products of the US lifestyle brand. The Kaira X, which was designed for both PlayStation and Xbox, is a chic console headset that is being launched on the market. The Kaira and Kaira Pro, in contrast, are Xbox-exclusive headphones. More custom peripherals for Microsoft’s home console are set to come out with a controller in the form of the Wolverine V2 White Edition, as well as a colorful Universal Quick Charging Stand for the Xbox’s wireless controller. We take a closer look at the pretty console products.

Kaira X – Fancy Console Headset

Owners of Microsoft’s and Sony’s home consoles will soon be able to enjoy the Kaira X. The iconic gaming headset was previously reserved for PC gamers only. A special feature is probably the powerful driver. At the heart of the Kaira X is the Razer TriForce, which measures 50 mm. The company thus promises an immersive gaming sound that is worth listening to.

In addition to crystal-clear hearing and balanced mids, bulky bass is also supposed to provide a true “in the middle” feeling. So that not only you, but also your teammates can enjoy a great sound, the gaming experts from Razer also promise a very good recording quality- The Razer HyperClear Cardioid Micro is supposed to transmit your voice naturally to your teammates and reliably fade out distracting background noise.

Not only the wearing comfort, but also the operating comfort of the headset should go down well with gamers. Not only does the Flowknit Memory Foam on the two ear pads ensure a comfortable fit on the head, but also the softly padded headband. Sound adjustments can also be made directly on the headset itself without having to switch to separate software. The connection is established via 3.5 mm jack cable.

Full batteries with colorful charging stand

The Universal Quick Charging Stand should probably be a real eye-catcher in any gaming setup. After all, Razer scores here with a wide range of colors. The charging stand is used for Microsoft’s wireless controllers for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S. The Elite Series 1 e-sports controller is also supposed to be able to be charged in the charging stand with magnetic holder.

Tailored Xbox peripherals

The Kaira, Kaira Pro and Wolverine V2 White Edition are additional products coming to retail that will be custom-made for Microsoft’s home console. The Kaira Pro features the 50 mm TriForce Titanium driver, which is also used on the Kaira X. The microphone in the form of the HyperClear supercardioid mic is also identical. However, what stands out at first glance is the fact that no cables are used here. Thanks to Bluetooth 5.0 and Xbox Wireless, you can conveniently connect the gaming headset to the Xbox wirelessly. The technical specs of the Kaira are identical. Only Bluetooth is missing here, which makes it a pure Xbox headset with “only” Xbox Wireless on board.

With the Wolverine V2 comes a real gaming controller for the Xbox in a noble white. The in-house Mecha-Tactile action buttons are to be used here. Especially the digital pad will please e-sportsmen and speedrunners. Razer especially emphasizes the customization options of its Wolverine V2. Thus, you can not only program the standard buttons, but also two additional bumpers. A special hair trigger mode is also used here. This is supposed to ensure that you can react as quickly as possible by shortening the path of the shoulder buttons.
