Hivar is a new gaming chair brand from onmobia GmbH in Oldenburg, Germany. A total of three gaming chairs form the prelude, which can be strongly customized in a configurator. In doing so, Hivar wants to score with premium quality and position itself among the best gaming chairs par excellence.
Hivar gaming chairs in detail
“High-quality workmanship and functionality meet an exciting design,” promises new gaming chair brand Hivar on its freshly launched homepage. In doing so, the Oldenburg-based manufacturer has set its sights high and wants to gain a foothold in the highly competitive premium gaming chair segment.
This succeeds through a whole new level of customizability, which is already in the name. Hivar is an acronym for HIGHLY and VARIABLE. In the configurator, you can put together your very own personal gaming chair that effortlessly adapts to the individual requirements of everyday digital life in terms of design and functionality.
The manufacturer offers a two-year warranty on its gaming chairs, which can be extended for an additional year thanks to “Hivar+ Warranty” if you share a photo at your workstation, desk or gaming setup with a Hivar chair on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter using #HIVAR.
Strongly customizable chairs
A high level of comfort is promised by a height-adjustable backrest, a synchronized mechanism and a seat that can be adjusted in depth, which all three series have in common. Thus, the Hivar gaming chairs are much more customizable than we are usually used to.
A lever on the right under the seat allows you to easily adjust the seat height to your height. “Hivar chairs are particularly comfortable and adapt perfectly to your body thanks to their depth-adjustable seats. Simply push the lever on the left under the seat up and slide the seat slightly forward or backward,” writes the manufacturer.
The height of the backrest can be adjusted in seven steps and reverts to the basic setting at the topmost point. In addition, a lumbar support is integrated directly into the chair. It can be customized and adjusted to your back shape by repeatedly turning the knob on the right side of the backrest.
4D armrests, an adjustable rocking resistance, a locking function and a synchro mechanism skillfully round out the strong feature set of the Hivar gaming chairs.

Three model series: Hivar Eclipse, Orbical and Skylar
At launch, Hivar offers three model series. Each chair consists of two parts, which you can combine in the configurator in two steps. In step 1, you choose the seat and backrest of your favorite series. Then, in step 2, you have the option of perfecting your design with matching accents for the base and armrests.
Starting off is the Hivar Eqlipse, which starts at an MSRP of 499.00 euros. It features a simple design, but still relies on high-quality materials. Here you can choose between different woven fabric or faux leather options, and in the second step you can select different aluminum base crosses.
The second in the bunch is the Hivar Orbical, which starts at an MSRP of 519.00 euros. Again, the choices and color options are similar. The top model Hivar Skylar, on the other hand, starts at 559.00 euros in different variants. ” The model SKYLAR convinces with dynamically arranged seams, which makes the chair a real eye-catcher and neatly spices up any desk, “ says the manufacturer.
