Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls XPC: New controller for flight simulations

Flight simulations such as Microsoft Flight Simulator are to be controlled even more realistically with the new Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls XPC from Honeycomb Aeronautical. It is modeled after a real aircraft cockpit and goes on sale worldwide immediately.

The Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls XPC in detail

The Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls XPC was designed and developed in California by pilots and aerospace engineers, with the goal of providing the most realistic gaming experience possible in flight simulations.

In doing so, the input device looks confusingly like an airplane cockpit and features a new front grille design and full 180° yoke rotation with enhanced Hall-effect sensors that allow for smooth precision without center detent.

A switch panel with main, alternator, avionics and light switches is installed in the base, along with a spring-loaded 5-position ignition switch. The left and right handles are equipped with 13 programmable buttons and switches, so you can further personalize the feel of the game.

The connection is made conveniently via USB Type-C to USB cable and that on PC, Mac and Xbox Series X/S. As compatible software, the manufacturer names Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane 11, Prepar3D.

Honeycomb Xbox Hub

At the same time, the manufacturer is releasing a matching Honeycomb Xbox Hub, which allows simultaneous use of the Bravo Throttle Quadrant and/or the soon-to-be-purchased Charlie Rudder Pedals with the Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls XPC.

In addition, the hub is compatible with Logitech Flight USB Throttle and Rudder Pedals, providing a solution for other manufacturers’ systems as well.

“We worked closely with Microsoft to implement compatibility with the Xbox Series X/S, as well as with the Microsoft Flight Simulator team to ensure that the Alpha XPC, as well as the Bravo Throttle and Charlie Rudder Pedals, provide a plug-and-play experience through the Xbox Hub,” says Nicki Repenning, founder and CEO of Honeycomb Aeronautical.
