HONOR is expanding its smartphone line-up in Germany with the HONOR 600 Lite – the first device in the new 600 series on the local market. The mid-range smartphone features an unusually bright AMOLED display, a generous battery and a fresh processor. The price is 399 euros.
HONOR 600 Lite: Design and workmanship
Despite the “Lite” suffix in the name, HONOR doesn’t skimp on the case. The 600 Lite uses an aluminum frame instead of plastic – a detail that is by no means a matter of course in this price range. The casing measures 157.4 × 75.4 × 7.3 mm and weighs just 180 grams, making it pleasantly light and slim.
There is a dedicated camera shutter button on the right-hand side, as already familiar from the HONOR 400 Lite. The device is IP66-certified against dust and strong water jets and has also received SGS Premium 5-star certification for drop and pressure resistance – it should survive drops from a height of up to 1.8 meters onto a smooth marble floor without damage. The smartphone is available in the colors Velvet Gray, Sprout Green, Velvet Black and.
Display: 6.6-inch AMOLED with an impressive 6,500 nits
The heart of the HONOR 600 Lite is undoubtedly its 6.6-inch AMOLED panel. It has a resolution of 1,200 × 2,600 pixels, which corresponds to a pixel density of around 434 ppi, and supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The maximum peak brightness of 6,500 nits (HDR) is exceptionally high for a mid-range device and ensures very good readability even in direct sunlight.
Another positive feature is the 3,840 Hz PWM dimming, which is considered flicker-free according to the IEEE standard – a real plus point for eye-sensitive users. The aspect ratio is 19.5:9 and the screen takes up around 90 percent of the front.
Processor and performance: MediaTek Dimensity 7100 Elite
Inside, the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 Elite uses the 6 nm process – a brand new chip that has not yet been installed in any other smartphone. The eight-core architecture is based on four Cortex-A78 cores (2.4 GHz) and four Cortex-A55 cores (2.0 GHz); the Mali-G610 MC2 is responsible for the graphics performance.
There are two RAM variants: 8 GB or 12 GB RAM, each combined with 256 GB internal memory. Thanks to HONOR’s RAM Turbo, the RAM can be virtually expanded to up to 24 GB. However, there is no microSD card slot and the memory cannot be expanded.
The operating system is Android 16 with MagicOS 10. HONOR promises up to six major Android updates – a very strong update promise for this price range.
Camera: 108 MP main sensor with AI shutter release
The camera configuration on the back consists of two sensors:
| Camera | resolution | Aperture | Special feature |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main camera | 108 MP | f/1,8 | 1/1.67″ sensor, PDAF |
| Ultra wide angle | 8 MP | – | – |
| Front camera | 16 MP | f/2,5 | – |
A telephoto camera is not installed, which is typical in this price range. However, the 108 MP sensor with a 1/1.67-inch size is a decent size for a mid-range model. The device records videos at up to 1080p at 30 fps. Particularly noteworthy is the dedicated AI camera shutter release, which has accompanied HONOR since the 400 Lite.
Battery, charging and connectivity
With a 6,520 mAh battery, the HONOR 600 Lite is one of the longest-lasting smartphones in its class. The wired fast charging with 45 watt HONOR SuperCharge is solid, but the device does not support wireless charging.
In terms of connectivity, 5G is on board, as is Wi-Fi 5 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 6.0 with aptX HD and LHDC 5.0 as well as NFC (market-dependent). The USB port is USB-C 2.0 with OTG support – HONOR does not have a headphone connection (3.5 mm jack). However, stereo speakers are installed. The fingerprint sensor is visually located under the display.

Conclusion: HONOR 600 Lite impresses with its powerful display and battery
The HONOR 600 Lite is a solid mid-range smartphone with some real highlights: The 6,500-nits AMOLED display is exceptionally bright for this price range, the 6,520 mAh battery promises long runtimes, and the brand-new Dimensity 7100 Elite brings fresh processing power. Then there are the six promised Android updates and the aluminum frame despite the “Lite” label.
The lack of wireless charging, the rather weak ultra-wide-angle camera and the non-expandable memory are drawbacks. For 399 euros, the HONOR 600 Lite is nevertheless an interesting package that is well positioned in the growing mid-range competition.
