HONOR MagicPad4: The world’s thinnest tablet launches in Germany

With the HONOR MagicPad4, HONOR is bringing a new flagship tablet to Germany that is set to take design, performance and AI features to a new level. With a body thickness of just 4.8 mm, it is one of the world’s thinnest tablets and combines this design with high-end hardware such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 using the 3 nm process. It also features a 165 Hz OLED display, PC-like productivity functions and seamless integration into the Apple ecosystem.

  • Only 4.8 mm thin and around 450 g light – one of the world’s slimmest tablets
  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (3 nm) installed in a tablet for the first time
  • 12.3-inch OLED with 165 Hz and up to 2400 nits HDR peak brightness
  • AI productivity tools and cross-platform connectivity including Apple integration

HONOR MagicPad4: Ultra-thin design meets high-end display

The HONOR MagicPad4 sets new standards in the tablet segment with its height of just 4.8 mm. In combination with a weight of around 450 grams, it positions itself as a particularly mobile working device. According to the manufacturer, this is made possible by a special “crescent structure” and the use of aerospace-grade fibers, which increase stability and reduce weight at the same time. Even with the optional keyboard and stylus, the total weight remains below that of many ultrabooks and even below a 13-inch notebook such as the MacBook Air.

The focus is also on the 12.3-inch OLED display with a screen-to-body ratio of 93 percent and extremely narrow 4-mm bezels. The resolution of 3000 × 1920 pixels ensures a high pixel density, while the refresh rate of 165 Hz ensures smooth movements, especially for gaming, scrolling and creative applications. With a peak HDR brightness of up to 2400 nits, the screen remains easy to read even in bright sunlight.

For longer work sessions, HONOR integrates several eye protection technologies, including 5280 Hz PWM dimming and TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue light emissions and flicker-free display. The tablet is therefore not only aimed at entertainment fans, but also at productive users who spend many hours in front of the display.

Flagship performance, PC mode and AI integration

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 uses the modern 3 nm process – the first time in the industry in a tablet, according to the manufacturer. The architecture promises high efficiency with increased CPU and GPU performance. This is supported by a 13-layer cooling system with a heat dissipation area of over 81,000 mm², which should enable constant performance even with intensive workloads.

The integrated 10,100 mAh battery provides enough power for a productive working day and can be quickly recharged with 66W HONOR SuperCharge. Eight speakers in combination with HONOR Spatial Audio ensure a spatial sound image – a plus point for streaming, gaming and video conferencing.

With PC mode activated, the MagicPad4 transforms into a desktop-like working environment. A file system in the style of classic operating systems, mouse support and familiar key combinations such as Ctrl+C or Alt+Tab enable efficient multitasking. Several windows can be managed in parallel, bringing the tablet closer to a notebook in terms of functionality.

Another focus is on AI-supported office functions. The AI note function automatically creates protocols, recognizes speakers and summarizes content. In addition, HONOR Connect offers cross-brand connectivity. The tablet can be used as an external display for Mac systems and supports data exchange with devices such as iPhone, iPad and Mac. This positions the MagicPad4 as a flexible control center in heterogeneous device environments.

Conclusion: Premium tablet with a focus on mobility and performance

The HONOR MagicPad4 combines an extremely slim design with the latest high-end hardware and extensive AI functions. The 165 Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and Apple-compatible connectivity in particular make the tablet an exciting alternative in the premium segment.

Pre-orders are now possible, the market launch in Germany will take place on March 2, 2026. The official prices will be announced on March 1 as part of the HONOR launch presentation.
