Honor has unveiled a new premium tablet in China. It is called Honor Pad V8 Pro and features a 12.1-inch, 144 Hz display, a chic leather back and a large battery.

With the new Honor Pad V8 Pro tablet, the manufacturer blows the attack on the best tablets and has some strong features in tow. First and foremost is the large 12.2-inch display with a screen-to-body ratio of 87.7 percent, which resolves with 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, is 144 Hz fast and fully covers the DCI-P3 color space. The maximum brightness is 600 nits according to the manufacturer.
A whole eight speakers, including Hi-Res certification and DTS:X, are supposed to provide a real sound in cinema quality. The tablet is just 6.64 millimeters thin and comes in many bright colors, which are also covered by a leather texture on the back, which should ensure a pleasant feel. At least on the “Burning Orange” model.
The Honor Pad V8 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 octa-core processor, which is supported by 8 GB or 12 GB of working memory and 128 GB or 256 GB of system memory. The battery has a capacity of 10,035 mAh and can be charged via USB-C with a maximum of 35 watts. Magic UI 7.0 based on Android 12 is used as the operating system.
In addition, the Pad V8 Pro has a 13-megapixel main camera on the back (f/2.0, with autofocus), as well as a 5-MP selfie camera (f/2.2).
Price and Availability
The Honor Pad V8 Pro will initially launch exclusively in China starting at a price of 2,599 yuan (around 350 euros) with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM. The top model with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of system storage has an MSRP of 3,299 yuan, or around 445 euros. It is currently unclear when the tablet will come to Germany.
