AI for everyday life and efficiency
With the HONOR Magic8 series, artificial intelligence is moving deeper into smartphone operation. A new AI button enables direct access to smart functions – such as “AI reminders”, which automatically analyze and summarize content on the screen and store it in a knowledge database. This allows information from websites, emails or messages to be intelligently processed and easily retrieved later.
The button can also be configured individually, for example to start the camera or other important applications. HONOR thus focuses on greater convenience and intuitive interaction – a clear step towards AI control suitable for everyday use.
The AI presence is also evident in the design and system integration: thanks to the new MagicOS 10, the device connects seamlessly with Android, HarmonyOS, iOS and Windows. Tasks such as file transfer, synchronization or multi-device use should be noticeably simplified as a result.
Revolution in mobile photography
The HONOR Magic8 series demonstrates its innovative strength particularly in the camera. At its heart is the Magic8 Pro’s AiMAGE system with a new 200 megapixel ultra-night telephoto camera. Its large 1/1.4-inch sensor and f/2.6 aperture enable sharp, detailed images even in difficult lighting conditions.
HONOR’s AI anti-shake technology also ensures up to seven times greater stability when zooming – a huge plus for photographers who like to work without a tripod. With a CIPA 5.5 stabilization level, the device currently achieves an industry-leading value.
Equally innovative: the new Magic Color Engine, which uses deep learning algorithms to analyse and adjust colors with extreme precision. It can process over 16.7 million colors and delivers realistic, film-like results. Users can also manually apply film looks or create their own presets from reference images – directly in the camera app or via Magic Portal.
Performance on a new level
Inside is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 – a platform specifically designed for AI-based performance optimization. For the first time, HONOR combines GPU and NPU technologies to dynamically improve resolution and frame rates.
This allows games that originally run at 60 fps at 850p to be upscaled to 120 fps at 1080p. This promises significantly smoother gameplay and sets new standards in mobile open-world environments.
Energy is provided by an AI-optimized triple power management system that intelligently manages runtime, heat development and battery health. With up to 120W wired and 80W wireless HONOR SuperCharge, the device is ready for use again in just a few minutes – even with intensive use.
Design, durability and software
In addition to performance and AI functions, HONOR also attaches great importance to a modern appearance. MagicOS 10 brings a new visual concept with clear lines, subtle light reflections and dynamic transparency effects. Icons, weather display or lock screen designs react adaptively to background images and lighting moods.
The robust design meets the strict SGS standards for tenfold drop resistance and is certified to IP68/69/69K. This means that the Magic8 series can withstand even the most demanding environmental conditions.
Conclusion
With the Magic8 series, HONOR once again demonstrates its ambitions in the premium segment. The combination of strong AI integration, advanced camera and display technology and high performance clearly sets this model apart from the competition. The series is already available in China, with information on the international market launch to follow shortly. If you don’t want to miss the launch in Germany, you can sign up for the newsletter.
