The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 in detail

With the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2, the manufacturer is launching an attack on the tablet throne and has some exciting arguments to offer. Weighing just 508 grams, it is the lightest 12-inch tablet in the world according to the manufacturer and is also just 5.5 mm thin.

The impressive 12.2-inch display takes up 92% of the tablet’s surface area and does not have a notch at all, while the display edges are only 4.6 mm thin. Huawei uses an OLED PaperMatte display with Tandem OLED technology, which is particularly well protected against reflections and has a paper-like feel.

We already know something similar from the MatePad 11.5 “S (our test), except that this is a tandem OLED panel that is up to 2,000 nits bright, displays colors in 10 bits and offers a contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1.

It is also available in an “Organic Design Gold” version with an elegant silk texture, but also comes in a classic black color scheme. Huawei has not yet provided any specific details on the features.

With the latest GoPaint updates and the HUAWEI M Pencil (3rd generation), the MatePad Pro 12.2 offers precise and fluid pen guidance. Seamless integration with the NearLink keyboard makes it possible to realize your ideas effortlessly and efficiently – whether in the studio or on the go.

The 10,000 mAh battery ensures that you are not slowed down even during intensive use, and with 100W SuperCharge, the tablet is charged from 0 to 85% in just 40 minutes – perfect for the modern working day. Up to 13 hours of battery life should be possible.

There will also be a new Huawei Glide Keyboard to go with it to make the

The Huawei MatePad 12X also relies on a PaperMatte display with reflection and eye protection, but without OLED technology. The display in 3:2 format is up to 1,000 nits bright, has a resolution of 2,800 x 1,840 pixels and offers a frame rate of 144 hertz.

The manufacturer is positioning the tablet as a lightweight flagship model for young professionals, which comes in four different colors. It has a 10,000 mAh battery that provides a battery life of up to 14 hours. It can be charged with up to 66 watts via SuperCharge.
