Huawei MateView GT 27″: New gaming monitor with QHD and 165 Hz

In addition to the new notebooks, Huawei has unveiled the MateView GT 27″, an exciting gaming monitor that aims to score points from a technical standpoint with a 165Hz fast QHD display complete with 1500R curvature.

Fast display

The new gaming monitor Huawei MateView GT 27″ impresses with a high-quality, modern design with high resolution, a wide color spectrum and an eye-friendly image technology certified by TÜV Rheinland. It relies on a 68.6-centimeter (27-inch) 16:9 display that offers a maximum screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (QHD) at a maximum refresh rate of 165 Hz.

Thanks to its 1500R curvature, every corner of the screen is always equidistant from users’ eyes, while at the same time minimizing distortion and discoloration. The MateView GT 27″ has a particularly high quality color space and accurate color reproduction due to its ΔE<2 color accuracy. With a brightness of 350 nits, contrast ratio of 4000:1 and HDR 10, the gaming monitor is also very well positioned. A special dark field control adaptively adjusts the contrasts, which is supposed to make even hidden details in modern games clearer.

In terms of ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, a DisplayPort 1.2, and a USB Type-C charging port are offered. The customizable mount is removable and flexible use with a monitor arm or wall mount is possible. In addition, the monitor has been awarded TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification and supports DC Dimming technology to prevent flickering. This protects against eye fatigue. The 5-way joystick allows all settings to be made conveniently and intuitively.

HUAWEI MateView GT soon also without soundbar

For those who need more screen and want a good-sounding soundbar if desired, the already available HUAWEI MateView GT is the optimal choice. With its 86.4-centimeter (34-inch) diagonal screen size and narrow bezel with a wide 21:9 aspect ratio, it offers a much larger picture.

A soundbar is also integrated into the stand. The dual speakers installed in it and algorithms specially developed by HUAWEI ensure a powerful stereo sound. From mid-October 2021, there will be another variant of the HUAWEI MateView GT – without soundbar and therefore 50 euros (RRP: 499 euros) cheaper than the multi-award-winning CurvedMonitor.

Price and availability

The HUAWEI MateView GT 27″ is available from November 12, 2021 at a recommended retail price of 399 euros in the HUAWEI Online Store and in stores. For the sales launch, the new gaming mouse HUAWEI Wireless Mouse GT worth 129 euros will be included free of charge from October 5 to November 30, 2021.
