With the new NERA 2025 series, Husqvarna presents three innovative robotic lawn mowers that take lawn mowing to a new level. The Automower 305E NERA, 405XE NERA and the improved 435X AWD NERA models impress with their cordless technology, systematic mowing and practical features. Whether for small gardens, complex green spaces or steep slopes – Husqvarna has the right machine for every challenge.
The most important features at a glance:
- Cordless installation with virtual boundaries, controllable via app.
- Systematic mowing for striped or checkerboard patterns and up to 50 % higher area capacity.
- EdgeCut technology for neat lawn edges.
- Advanced obstacle detection by radar or ultrasound.
Cordless technology for more freedom in the garden
The new models in the NERA series are characterized by their wireless installation. With the help of the Husqvarna Cloud and virtual boundaries, which are conveniently created via the Automower Connect app, there is no need to lay boundary wires. This saves time and effort, especially for complex gardens or frequent layout changes.
A central feature is the EPOS satellite technology. This inconspicuous plug-in enables precise navigation with an accuracy of up to 2 cm. At the same time, there is no need for an external reference station. The Automower 435X AWD NERA in particular benefits from this technology and, with a maximum slope performance of 70%, is perfect for difficult terrain.
Efficient mowing thanks to systematic patterns
In addition to the classic chaos principle for a uniform carpet appearance, the NERA series will offer the option of systematic mowing from spring 2025. Users can select stripes or checkerboard patterns, increasing the area capacity by up to 50 % depending on the model. The Automower 435X AWD NERA can mow up to 5000 m², making it the ideal solution for larger areas. The 305E NERA and 405XE NERA models are designed for smaller gardens and cover areas of up to 900 m² when mowing systematically.
Thanks to EdgeCut technology, which integrates an additional cutting disc for edge maintenance, all models leave perfectly cut edges. This saves time and reduces the need for reworking with a trimmer.
Obstacle detection and wildlife protection
For worry-free use, Husqvarna relies on state-of-the-art obstacle detection. The Automower 305E NERA uses radar, while the 435X AWD NERA is equipped with ultrasound to precisely detect and avoid objects. This minimizes stops and increases efficiency.
A look into the future: From 2026, Husqvarna plans to introduce AI-supported Vision Technology, which equips robotic mowers with cameras. This innovation is designed to recognize and protect living creatures such as hedgehogs or pets.
Customization for every need
The robotic lawnmowers in the NERA series can be adapted to individual needs thanks to numerous functions and settings. In addition to the cutting height, which can be adjusted electrically between 20 and 70 mm, all models offer zone control for different areas of the garden. The devices can also be operated using an app or voice control via smart home systems.
Cleaning is also made easier thanks to the IPx5 protection class: all models can simply be rinsed off with the garden hose.
Conclusion
The Husqvarna Automower NERA series combines advanced technology with practical features and offers the right solution for every garden size. With cordless installation, systematic mowing and smart obstacle detection, the new models set new standards in lawn care.
The NERA models will be available from early summer 2025. The Automower 305E NERA starts from 1,699 euros, the Automower 405XE NERA from 2,199 euros and the RRP for the Husqvarna Automower 435X AWD NERA is 5,999 euros. Further information can be found on the Husqvarna website.
