The HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless is a new endurance runner among wireless gaming headsets. The device is supposed to be able to last for 300 hours on one battery charge and relies on the manufacturer’s well-known comfort, offers Spatial Audio with DTS Headphone:X and uses HyperX’s dual-chamber technology for precise in-game audio.
HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless in detail
For an even better in-game audio experience, the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless uses a new and improved, specially designed dual-chamber technology. It is said to separate mid and high frequencies from low frequencies, i.e. bass, particularly well. DTS Headphone:X Spatial Audio also provides virtual 3D sound for spatial audio, which is supposed to enable accurate localization during gaming.
For sound, the wireless gaming headset uses 50mm dynamic drivers, while it features a slimmer and lighter design with identical sound and performance compared to the original wired version.
The integrated audio control allows you to adjust the volume, mute and microphone monitoring. The detachable, Discord- and TeamSpeak-certified microphone features an LED status indicator that glows red when muted. Additionally, the Cloud Alpha Wireless’ detachable, noise-canceling microphone reduces background noise and provides clear voice quality for improved team communication and more intelligible in-game chats.
2.4 GHz wireless technology
Wirelessly, the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless operates in the 2.4 GHz band for low latency and gets to a range of 20 meters without lags or dropouts. The headset is compatible with NGENUITY software, where battery life can be checked and equalizer settings and other personalization can be made.
Covered is a frequency band from 15 Hz to 21,000 Hz and that at 62 ohms impedance. A maximum sampling rate of 48,000 Hz at 24-bit depth is possible. Depending on the volume and audio files, the rechargeable lithium-polymer battery has a maximum runtime of 300 hours and takes around 4.5 hours to fully charge. The HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless weighs 335 grams including the microphone.
In addition, the gaming headset features a high-quality aluminum frame for durability while also boasting an adjustable headband and HyperX’s legendary comfort with soft faux leather and padded memory foam.
