Hyte introduces Y40 Snow White and CNVS

Hyte has introduced two new color variants of the Y40 and CNVS products. Both the case and the RGB mouse pad will soon be available in a white variant as well. According to Hyte’s own information, this is in response to numerous customer requests.

Y40 Snow White

The Y40 midi tower was unveiled at CES 2023 in Las Vegas. We have already reported on the case and also subjected it to a detailed review, in which it was able to win a Gold Award with 90 out of 100 points. Among other things, the Y40 can convince with its playful design. It offers two glass sides and thus allows a unique view of the components installed inside. A riser cable (PCIE-4.0) for vertical installation of the graphics card is included.

The case is also equipped with two 120 mm fans, a wide range of ports (2x USB-A, 1x USB-C, 1x 3.5 mm jack) and plenty of space for high-quality hardware. For example, water cooling systems should also be possible. CPU coolers can be a maximum of 183 mm high, graphics cards up to 422 mm long. Power supplies can be installed up to ATX form factor.

Compared to the already existing Y40, the Y40 Snow White only has optical modifications. It is completely white. Previously, only a primarily white version was available, which also had black parts. The new Snow White version will also be completely white on the inside. It also differs from the previous versions in that the side glass parts are clear and not tinted, as well as the FE12 fans that are now also white inside.

CNVS Intense Play Mat

Alongside this, a white version of the CNVS Intense Play Mat RGB mouse pad is also being launched. The mouse pad is framed by a 50-pixel qRGB lighting array that guarantees continuous illumination. This can be adjusted to the user’s own preferences via Nexus. An interesting feature is that it is possible to synchronize the mouse with the screen content. Thus, the colors primarily seen on the screen are transferred to the mouse pad, which subsequently serves as a kind of extension of the screen.

The mouse pad is connected to the screen via a USB-C to C cable. A USB-C-to-A adapter is included in the scope of delivery. The pad measures 90 x 37 cm and can also be synchronized with music in its illumination. With its dimensions, it can further be used as a keyboard pad.

Prices and availability

Available will be the two new white versions of the already launched products from July. The case is expected to cost 179 euros, while the RGB mouse pad will be available for 139 euros.
