The International Consumer Electronics Fair is filling up. As those responsible have confirmed, the exhibition grounds for IFA 2022 Berlin are already more than 80 percent full. The last guest appearance of the venerable trade show in the German capital thus promises to be a complete success once again. While in contrast, at Gamescom 2022 in Cologne, one manufacturer after the other cancels.
IFA 2022 Berlin: Areas already almost fully occupied
Barely two months before IFA 2022 Berlin opens its doors, the exhibition grounds are already more than 80 percent occupied. With more than 30 exhibition halls as well as several special areas, IFA 2022 will fill the tradition-rich exhibition grounds in the center of Berlin.
IFA, whose responsible management team completely changed only in May 2022, has the claim to mark the “globally most important trade fair for consumer and home electronics”. This is clear from the press release. This claim is once again met, because manufacturers from all over the world and all areas of the industry have now confirmed their participation binding.
“With this diversity and the representation of the entire market, we create an important prerequisite for the trade show success of our exhibitors and visitors”, says Kai Mangelberger, Director IFA 2022.
Virtual planning already from July
Still in July 2022, Messe Berlin will launch IFA Virtual, a B2B platform to plan a visit to the show in advance. It will be used to prepare for a visit to the show, enable networking and provide additional information about IFA 2022 Berlin. This will then also include a complete exhibitor list and product highlights.
The hall plans for the exhibition grounds themselves have not yet been finalized: “We are positively surprised at how many last-minute registrations we are currently still receiving. In order to accommodate all exhibitors and to make the halls appealing to visitors, we are working on the exhibitor lists and hall plans until the end”, said Mangelberger.
