IFA 2022: Bluetti presents giant power station EP600

Bluetti has presented a new power station at the IFA 2022. The Bluetti EP600 is supposed to convince especially with its huge battery capacity. Thanks to the modular concept, a maximum battery capacity of 79 kWh can be created here.

Popularity of power stations is growing

At the same time as energy costs are rising, so is the demand for power stations. This is hardly surprising. After all, the large-format powerbanks make it possible to be self-sufficient from the power grid both on the road and at home. On top of that, practical solar panels ensure that you can recharge the batteries virtually free of charge. For example, Jackery also presented its 1000 Pro solar generator at the Funkausstellung in Berlin. Bluetti has also been anything but idle. Thus the manufacturer presented its Bluetti EP600. This is supposed to set new standards as the successor to the EP500, especially in terms of performance and capacity. According to the manufacturer, a maximum output of 6,000 watts is probably possible.

Modular design for up to 79 kWh

The highlight of the power station is its modular design. This allows the Bluetti EP600 to be equipped with up to 16 B500 batteries. These are also new and each offer a capacity of 4,960 kWh. According to Adam Riese, this is a total of 79 kWh. It thus offers significantly more storage capacity than comparable flagships like the EcoFlow Delta Pro (test) with its maximum of 25 kWh. In view of the large battery capacity, the Bluetti EP600 is by no means only interesting as a camping companion. This is without a doubt a genuine emergency power supply for your own four walls. Of course, the whole thing is not really portable. A B500 battery alone is said to weigh 56 kg. The Bluetti Powerstation EP600 weighs 40 kg in turn.

Price and availability

Bluetti didn’t just announce its EP600 at IFA 2022. On top of that, many should be pleased to hear that the popular and far more portable Bluetti EB3A powerstation, with a 268 Wh battery and power of up to 1,200 watts, is now set to come to Europe. Bluetti is still keeping quiet about the price of the two upcoming powerstations. However, it is certain that the Bluetti Powerstation EP600 will be available in 2023.
