IFA 2022: Flagship vacuum cleaner Dreame L10s Ultra presented

IFA 2022 also saw a number of innovations in the field of smart home gadgets come to light. Among others, Dreame was particularly diligent in this regard. The expert for vacuum cleaners announced the company’s new flagship. In the Dreame L10s Ultra, the company aims to offer not only a powerful vacuuming robot, but also a practical suction station with a self-cleaning function.

The new flagship from Dreame

Friends of powerful vacuum robots will also get a lot on offer at this year’s IFA. For example, Yeedi presented its brand-new KK series. If the mid-range devices are not enough for you, the Dreame L10s Ultra should probably be much more exciting. This one comes, as befits a top model in 2022, with a separate base station. Not only is the dust container of the robot vacuum emptied here. The station also supplies the smart household helper with fresh water and rinses the two mops on the underside thoroughly. These promise a strong wiping performance thanks to a rotation speed of 180 revolutions per minute.

In addition to a high rotation speed, Dreame promises that even stubborn stains should not be a problem thanks to the pressure on the floor. Consequently, the upcoming flagship differs significantly from model siblings like the Dreame D10 Plus (test). After all, the latter only drags a cloth behind it as part of its wipe function. That said, you don’t have to worry about damp carpets with the new Dreame L10s Ultra. In fact, similar to other top models like the Roborock S7 (test), the new addition to Dreame can raise its mop unit by 7 mm.

Smart navigation on board the Dreame L10s Ultra

Since the Dreame L10s Ultra is the new top model, the manufacturer naturally does not compromise on navigation and connectivity. For orientation, Dreame not only installs a modern LiDAR sensor, which ensures the best orientation and mapping even in the dark thanks to laser technology. In order for the robot vacuum to also recognize small, flat objects on the floor, an RGB camera is installed at the front.

The collected images are processed with the help of artificial intelligence and should ensure that the robot vacuum can move through your home quickly, agilely and with plenty of visibility. A particularly exciting gadget is the so-called Structured-light 3D. Dreame promises a scan of your home with subsequent three-dimensional results.

Of course, a suitable app should not be missing. In this you can not only view the 3D map of your home. On top of that, the Dreame L10s Ultra captures the floor plan of your own four walls. In the good old fashioned way, you can then adjust the cleaning according to your wishes. In addition to suction and wiping strength, you can also set routines or define no-go areas.

Speaking of suction strength. Dreame states a proud 5300 Pascal for its new top performer – a truly remarkable value. A look at the underside should look familiar, especially to Roborock fans. After all, the Dreame L10s Ultra also says goodbye to the classic main brush with hair. Instead, it is now made of rubber, just like the Roborock S7. This should especially please owners of hairy animals.

Suction station makes up for small dust bin

The Dreame L10s Ultra makes it clear what possibilities an extraction station opens up. For example, the company manages to leave enough room for a powerful motor and large battery by installing a comparatively small dust container (350 ml) and water tanks (80 ml). Thus, a 5200 mAh battery is supposed to provide decent endurance for the small smart household helper. Since the robot vacuum cleaner vacuums up debris in its station anyway and is fed fresh water, users will probably not notice anything about the tightly sized tanks anyway.

Price and availability

As early as September 15, 2022, the new Dreame L10s Ultra is supposed to find its way into stores. According to the manufacturer, prospective buyers will be faced with an MSRP of 1,199 euros. However, those who are quick at the market launch in Germany should be able to buy the promising vacuum for a whopping gets 100 euros less.
