IFA 2022 will feature many exciting highlights from the world of technology. This year’s edition of the consumer electronics trade show scores points above all for its multifaceted nature. After all, the focus is not only on innovations from the field of consumer electronics, such as the bendable OLED TV LG Flex LX3. In terms of smart home, you can also see some exciting gadgets. For example, robot vacuum manufacturer Dreame presented its new flagship in the form of the Dreame L10s Ultra. Since Amazon is also becoming increasingly significant in the smart home sector, it is hardly surprising that the company is also represented with a new product. More specifically, its Ring subsidiary unveiled its latest model in the form of a smart intercom, the Ring Intercom.
Perfectly suited for the rental apartment
Ring’s products have so far been aimed primarily at home builders or apartment buyers who have to worry about a doorbell system in their own four walls anyway. With the ring Intercom comes now a novelty, which understands itself also with an already existing intercom system in the best way and is to profit from this even. The Ring Intercom can easily be connected to the existing intercom system to make it smart. You should also be able to talk to people on the go via your intercom. A WiFi connection of the smart intercom makes it possible.
Should you find yourself in your own home, the Ring Intercom then offers more convenience for everyday life thanks to Alexa. After all, you no longer have to run quickly to the door to press the door opener. Instead, the new addition to the Amazon subsidiary’s product portfolio makes it easy to open the door via app. This feature is also practical if you are still on the road and expecting visitors. You can then simply give them access to your own four walls via smartphone while on the move.
Uncomplicated setup with the Ring Intercom
Smart home gadgets also live from the fact that they can be integrated into the home network and used without much effort. This should also be the case with the Ring Intercom. Here, you don’t have to set up a whole new doorbell system. Instead, the Amazon subsidiary promises to take you by the hand and guide you step by step in the app. Among other things, the uncomplicated installation is made possible by the fact that the Ring Intercom comes with integrated batteries. Thus, you do not have to connect it to the power supply. Another exciting feature that the Ring Intercom brings along is Amazon-exclusive. So the smart intercom should be able to automatically open the door when a deliveryman from Amazon comes along with a package.
Price and availability
You can test here whether the Ring Intercom (official website) is compatible with your intercom at all. If this is the case and you are interested in the smart intercom, you will soon be able to buy it. It is supposed to go on sale as early as September 28, 2022. However, it is supposed to take another month until the delivery takes place. The Amazon subsidiary wants to offer its novelty at a RRP of just under 130 Euros. However, those who buy quickly will be able to save. Right on time for the market launch, the smart intercom will cost just under 100 euros.
