IFA 2022: Teufel Zola gaming headset announced

Teufel has announced three new products just in time for IFA 2022. In addition to the second generation of its popular Real Blue TWS, the Teufel Cage One is also an affordable headset. A new addition to Teufel’s ranks

If you take a look at the Teufel Cage One, it quickly becomes clear that this is supposed to launch at a much lower price compared to its predecessor. It should cost just under 90 Euros less than the Teufel Cage (2020) did at the time of release. One reason for this is probably that Teufel wants to position itself more broadly in the gaming headset segment. With the Teufel Zola, the Berlin-based hi-fi company has announced a newcomer that can clearly be assigned to the premium class. Teufel promises the best sound and a crystal-clear voice transmission. A special treat is certainly also the possibility to individualize the headphones.

Great sound meets individual look

On paper, everything sounds optimal with the Teufel Zola. According to the manufacturer, the closed over-ear gaming headset offers a rich surround sound. At the heart of this are the two Linear HD drivers, each measuring 40 mm. This is reminiscent of the sonically first-class Teufel Cage (test). Teufel promises nothing less than 7.1 sound here, which DTS Headphone-X 2.0 is supposed to make possible. However, the premium sound is only available if you connect the Teufel Zola to the console or PC via USB. Those who opt for the USB connection should also be able to benefit from the numerous customization options.

In the Teufel Audio Center for Zola, you can adjust the sound to your needs. In doing so, the Berliners offer an extensive 10-band equalizer in their premium headset. Speaking of customization. You can let off steam with the Teufel Zola not only in terms of sound, but also optically. The gaming headset comes in either light gray or black ex-works. However, you can also choose from a total of six different color sets. In addition to the ear pads themselves, you can also customize small items such as the microphone protector.

Price and Availability

The Teufel Zola is set to launch in time for the Christmas shopping season in the fourth quarter of 2022. The Berlin-based soundsmith wants to call an MSRP of about 130 euros for the gaming headset.
