IFA 2026: ANTHBOT Unveils New R7 Series

A perfect lawn looks like it takes little effort. But the reality is often quite different. Edges, slopes, obstacles: Anyone who has a real garden—rather than a flat lawn straight out of a catalog—knows the problem. This is exactly where ANTHBOT comes in. At IFA 2026 in Berlin (September 4–8, Hall 11.1, Booth 117), the company will showcase its R7 series—a robotic mower designed to tackle precisely the tasks where previous robotic mowers have reached their limits.

Why a New Robotic Lawn Mower Is Needed at All

Automatic lawn mowers have been around for a long time. But anyone with an uneven yard featuring winding flower beds, slopes, or narrow pathways often ends up reaching for the edge trimmer themselves anyway. It is precisely this final bit of manual labor that ANTHBOT aims to eliminate with the R7 series.

At the heart of the R7 is the EdgeEase Trimming Robot Arm—according to ANTHBOT, the world’s first fully hands-free edge trimmer of its kind. The arm automatically follows even irregular lawn edges and trims them cleanly, without any manual touch-ups. This means mowing and edge trimming are completed in a single, continuous operation.

Built for real gardens, not model lawns

Centered around this core innovation, ANTHBOT has equipped the R7 with a suite of technology specifically tailored to the challenges of real gardens:

  • 6-motor all-wheel drive: The R7 is designed to handle slopes of up to 40° (84%) and obstacles up to 7 cm high—for properties that are anything but flat.

  • HoloSense Fusion Navigation: A combination of dual LiDAR, PPP-RTK positioning, and AI-powered image processing is designed to ensure reliable navigation even in complex terrain.

  • Enhanced Animal Welfare: Infrared thermal imaging complements camera-based object detection to detect animals such as hedgehogs in the grass in a timely manner.
  • Precise Cutting System: Two floating mower discs are designed to adapt to uneven terrain.

  • High Coverage: Up to 4,000 m² per day or 600 m² per battery charge, plus a fast charge in about 60 minutes.
  • Smart operation: Voice control and temperature and humidity sensors round out the features.

Experience it live—don’t just read about it

If you want to see for yourself, you don’t have to stick to theory at IFA: Live demonstrations are planned at the ANTHBOT booth, showcasing edge trimming along irregular boundaries, driving on slopes, obstacle avoidance, remote mapping, and autonomous navigation.

Whether as a replacement for the traditional lawn mower or as a supplement for those corners that previously had to be tackled by hand—the R7 series aims to demonstrate that lawn care can function largely on its own, even in challenging gardens. IFA 2026 is likely to be the first venue where this can be tested in practice.
