ESR Tech will showcase three new product lines at IFA 2026 in Berlin (September 4–8, Booth H3.2-121): silicone leather cases with improved anti-yellowing technology, screen protectors made of Corning glass for greater scratch and drop resistance, and a 25-watt actively cooled Qi2 charger. The accessory manufacturer’s motto is “Designed for What’s Next,” and the company aims primarily to respond to customer feedback from recent years.
ESR Tech at IFA 2026 at a Glance
ESR will be at IFA 2026 in Hall 3.2 at booth number H3.2-121, in the “Communication & Connectivity” category. The company was founded in 2009 and claims to reach over 123 million users worldwide. ESR is best known for protective cases, screen protectors, and charging accessories for the iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods.
CEO Tim Wu sums up the trade show’s motto as follows: “Great tech experiences often depend on details that are easily overlooked—for example, how a case feels in your hand, how clear it remains over time, your confidence in the protection it provides for the display, or concerns about how warm the device gets while charging.” ESR aims to address precisely these details with its new products.
Silicone leather and anti-yellowing technology for protective cases
For its protective cases, ESR will also be using a silicone leather material that feels soft in the hand but is still durable enough for everyday use. The material is designed to protect against scratches without losing the premium feel associated with leather cases. Anyone who’s ever had problems with leather cases and chargers knows this isn’t a trivial issue. Even Apple’s own MagSafe charger has left marks on leather cases.
The second focus is on further developing anti-yellowing technology for transparent cases. To this end, ESR commissioned SGS-certified accelerated UV aging tests that simulate extreme UV exposure, high temperatures, and repeated day-night cycles. According to ESR, the test results correspond to real-world exposure of about six months without the case visibly yellowing or losing its clarity. Of course, it’s impossible to independently verify whether this holds true in everyday use before the trade show. At the very least, however, this is an area where many inexpensive clear cases have tended to deteriorate quickly up to this point.
Screen Protector: Enhanced Impact Protection and Scratch Resistance
For screen protectors, ESR combines more rigorous drop tests with glass materials from Corning. In its in-house test lab, the new generation is said to achieve up to ten times higher impact energy absorption, while the glass films themselves are said to offer up to twice the scratch resistance compared to other screen protectors.

CryoBoost: 25-watt Qi2 charging with active cooling
When it comes to charging, the latest generation of CryoBoost technology takes center stage. It combines wireless charging based on the Qi2 standard with 25 watts of power and active cooling in a slimmer design than previous models. The active cooling is designed to address a common issue with wireless charging: the warmer the phone gets while charging, the more the system throttles the charging power. ESR’s previous CryoBoost chargers, such as the foldable 3-in-1 charging station, therefore already feature a small fan designed to prevent exactly that.
Qi2 has now been adopted by several manufacturers, including those outside of Apple. Just recently, for example, Bang & Olufsen followed suit with its own Qi2 power bank featuring a premium design.
Compact charger with retractable cable for on the go
For anyone who doesn’t want loose cables in their bag, ESR is also showcasing a compact solution with a built-in, retractable cable and up to 60 watts of fast-charging power. An additional, extended, braided cable is designed to provide greater reach and flexibility while also being more durable than a standard thin cable. The device is designed for use in the office, at home, during commutes, and while traveling—classic scenarios where compact power banks typically perform well.
Context: What ESR Has Planned for IFA 2026
ESR has not yet announced prices or specific release dates for the new products, which is not unusual for announcements made shortly before a trade show like IFA. What’s striking, however, is that with all three new products (case material, screen protector, and charging), ESR is targeting specific everyday problems rather than making grand marketing promises: a cell phone that doesn’t get too hot while charging, a case that still looks clear even after months of use, and a glass screen that can survive a drop. ESR is already taking this exact approach with its existing CryoBoost chargers.
