Jackery is heading to IFA 2026 in Berlin with a broad product portfolio and will be showcasing its new generation of expandable power stations for the first time from September 4 to 8 in Hall 2.2, Booth 114. With the Explorer 1000 Plus v2, the Explorer 2000 Plus v2, and the Explorer 3600 Plus, the manufacturer is introducing a scalable product family designed to cover everything from weekend camping trips to emergency power supply at home. In addition, the FridgeGuard—a completely new product—is designed specifically to protect refrigerators and other sensitive devices during power outages.

In summary: At IFA 2026 (September 4–8, Hall 2.2, Booth 114) the new Explorer Plus v2 PowerStation family in three capacity classes ranging from approximately 1 to 3.5 kilowatt-hours, which can be expanded with additional battery packs. Also new to the lineup is the FridgeGuard, a UPS system specifically designed for refrigerators with a switchover time of less than 10 milliseconds. The trade show presentation will be complemented by the SolarVault 3 series, the EnergyGuard Max large-scale storage system, and solar roof tiles. Jackery has not yet announced specific prices for Germany; the official launch event will take place on September 4 at 3:00 p.m. at the booth.

Explorer Plus v2: A Power Station Family for Different Needs

Camping, van life, remote work, or emergency power for your home: The requirements for a power station vary greatly depending on what you need it for. Instead of selling a separate device for every use case, Jackery is adopting a modular approach with the new Plus generation. Those who start with the smallest capacity today can upgrade later with additional battery packs without having to replace the power station entirely.

According to the manufacturer, all three models use LiFePO4 battery cells, which, per the datasheet, are expected to last over 6,000 charge cycles before capacity drops below 70 percent. In addition, the announcement highlights improved AC and USB ports as well as more efficient solar charging.

Comparing the Three Models

The Explorer 1000 Plus v2 has been presented in the most detail so far: According to Jackery, it delivers up to 1,800 watts of continuous power, making it suitable even for devices with high inrush current. The manufacturer has not yet published complete data sheets for the two larger models ahead of the trade show.

Model Capacity (approx.) Continuous Power Special Features
Explorer 1000 Plus v2 about 1 kWh up to 1,800 W 230-V outlets, built-in light, fast charging, more compact design
Explorer 2000 Plus v2 Approx. 2 kWh Not yet confirmed Expandable with additional battery packs
Explorer 3600 Plus Approx. 3.5 kWh Not yet confirmed Flagship model of the series, designed for emergency power in the home

The capacity and naming of the Explorer 3600 Plus suggest that it is the European version of the Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus, which is already available in the U.S. That model offers 3,584 watt-hours, 3,600 watts of continuous power, and, according to the manufacturer, can be expanded to up to 21 kilowatt-hours. Jackery will not confirm whether the European version will have exactly these specifications until the product launch at the trade show itself.

FridgeGuard: Emergency Power UPS Specifically for the Refrigerator

For many people, purchasing a full-fledged power station for emergencies is too expensive or simply too large for the kitchen. The FridgeGuard is designed to fill exactly this gap: a device just under 6.6 centimeters thick that can be placed upright, laid flat, or mounted on the wall, and automatically kicks in without interruption during a power outage.

Installation is designed to be done without an electrician: just plug the device between the outlet and the refrigerator—that’s it. In the U.S., Jackery lists the base model at $669, though some early offers show a price of around $560. The manufacturer has not yet announced prices for the German market.

From Outdoor Specialist to Energy Ecosystem

In addition to the new Plus family and the FridgeGuard, Jackery is showcasing its home energy ecosystem at IFA, including expansions to the SolarVault 3 series, which we’ve already put through our paces in a separate review. The lineup is rounded out by solar roof tiles and the large-scale EnergyGuard Max storage system, whose capacity the manufacturer has not yet specified.

Brady Sun, Head of Jackery Europe, summarizes the strategy as follows: “With our growing portfolio, we’re evolving beyond individual mobile power stations to become a fully connected, smart energy ecosystem where safety comes first. Whether our customers are on the go off the grid, want to protect themselves against potential power outages, or wish to reduce their dependence on the public power grid at home, Jackery offers safe, reliable, and innovative energy solutions for every scenario.”

Conclusion

The fact that Jackery designs its power stations to be modular isn’t a new trend in itself; virtually every major manufacturer in this segment now relies on expandable battery packs instead of fixed capacities. The FridgeGuard is more interesting because it serves a niche that hardly anyone has addressed so far: targeted protection for individual devices rather than a complete emergency power solution for the entire home. Whether the device is worth the price remains to be seen, as there is no German price listing yet and no hands-on testing has been conducted. We’ll update this article as soon as Jackery announces specific prices and full specifications for the Explorer 2000 Plus v2 and the Explorer 3600 Plus at the trade show itself.
