In-ear headphones from Cambridge Audio: Melomania Touch

From Cambridge Audio, the Melomania Touch is now available. As a new member of the Melomania series, they are said to offer up to 50 hours of playback time.

“Touch me”

In developing the Melomania Touch True-Wireless-In-Ear headphones, Cambridge Audio has taken the data from more than 3,000 ear impressions into account. The aim is for the in-ears to achieve an optimal fit for each ear. With the newly developed housing, the earphones adapt seamlessly to the user’s earcup. The fit is guaranteed by the included ear wings and ear molds. The earphones have an intuitive touch function, which makes it easy to control volume, playback and even answer the phone. The touch command can also be used to activate common voice assistants such as Siri and Google Assistant.

One-time “Great British Sound”

Featuring Class A/B amplifier technology from Cambridge Audio, the Melomania Touch offers an unprecedented sound experience. The amplifier technology is used for the first time in the Melomania Touch from Cambridge Audio, which is intended to provide the unique “Great British Sound”. The 7 mm graphically coated drivers provide the fullness of sound. With AAC and the high-resolution Bluetooth codec aptX, no detail of the sound is lost during playback. The battery life of the in-ears is an incredible 50 hours, using the charging case. Thus one remains independent of any plug sockets. If you use the earphones for continuous music playback, you get 9 hours of continuous sound. After a short charging stop in the charging case it can go on. The latest Qualcomm chipset and the Bluetooth 5.0 connection ensure a stable connection. With the latest generation of microphones, the in-ears are also ideal for making phone calls.

Melomania App

The manufacturer has released the Melomania app to adjust the sound. It allows individual modes to be set and the listening experience to be perfectly adapted for the user. The “Transparency” mode is particularly suitable for conversations and suppresses ambient noise. The whole thing can also be controlled with the touch function. The app can also be used to install firmware updates and display the current charge status of the Melomania Touch In-Ears. In addition, there is also the “Find my Earphones” function so that nothing gets lost here.

Availability and price

The new Melomania Touch True-Wireless-In-Ear headphones are available from next January at Amazon and in the Cambridge Audio Webshop at a price of 139.95 euros. In terms of color, the choice remains between white and black.
