Intel launches a new model of its NUC mini-PC series. The Intel NUC 12 Pro is called “Wall Street Canyon” and features various 12th generation Alder Lake P processors. The top model is equipped with the Core i7-1260P with 12 cores.
The Intel NUC 12 Pro in detail
Compared to the gaming-ready NUC 12 Serpent Canyon, which we already introduced to you in June, the new Intel NUC 12 Pro Wall Street Canyon mini-PC is more aimed at business users who still don’t want to do without performance.
The mini-PC, which is only 117 x 112 x 37 millimeters in size, is equipped with various Alder Lake P processors from Intel. It starts with the Core i3-1220P, while a maximum of the 12-core Intel Core i7-1260P CPU can be installed, which combines four performance cores with eight efficiency cores. All CPU models offer a Thermal Design Power (TDP) of 28 watts according to listing from Intel.
The mini-PC can be equipped with a maximum of 64 GB of RAM, for which two DDR4-3200 slots are available. In terms of mass storage, one M.2 2280, one M.2 2242 and one M.2 2230 slot are offered, while only the M.2 2280 slot allows a connection via PCIe 4.0.
The graphics calculation of the Intel NUC 12 Pro Wall Street Canyon is exclusively done internally via the Intel solution Xe integrated into the CPU. Unlike the NUC 12 Serpent Canyon, which relies on the new Intel Arc Mobile top model A770M.
Differences in size and ports
The Intel NUC 12 Pro is offered in various configurations. They differ, for example, in a K-model, which is smaller, and in an H-model, which is 54 mm high, but offers additional space for a 2.5-inch data carrier.
In terms of ports, the Intel NUC 12 Pro is quite well-equipped. Two Thunderbolt 4 ports including DisplayPort function are offered. In addition, there are two HDMI 2.0 ports, two USB 3.2 ports, one USB 2.0 port and a 3.5 mm jack for connecting a headset.
A 2.5 Gbit/s fast LAN port is also available, and the NUC connects wirelessly to the network via Wi-Fi 6E and communicates with other devices via Bluetooth 5.2.
