Logitech G is expanding its gaming portfolio with the new G3 series, aiming to make high-performance gaming hardware accessible to a wider audience. The lineup kicks off with the G305 X SUPERLIGHT wireless gaming mouse and the G316 X mechanical gaming keyboard. Both devices combine technologies from the professional gaming sector with extensive customization options and a comparatively attractive price-performance ratio.

  • G305 X SUPERLIGHT with HERO 44K sensor, weighing just around 60 grams, and over 130 hours of battery life
  • Triple connectivity via LIGHTSPEED Wireless, Bluetooth, and USB-C
  • G316 X with 8 kHz polling rate, hot-swap switches, and RGB lighting
  • More sustainable design with a high proportion of recycled plastics

The Logitech G305 X SUPERLIGHT features a lightweight design and high precision

With the G305 X SUPERLIGHT, Logitech G is updating one of its most popular mouse designs. The new model weighs just 59 to 61 grams and is aimed at gamers who prefer fast movements and precise control. Inside, the HERO-44K sensor offers a resolution of up to 44,000 DPI and, according to the manufacturer, captures even the smallest movements with high accuracy.

The mouse is particularly flexible when it comes to connectivity. Users can switch between LIGHTSPEED Wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, and a wired USB-C connection. This makes the mouse suitable for gaming PCs as well as laptops or mobile setups. The battery life of more than 130 hours is also designed to enable longer gaming sessions without frequent recharging.

The fast-charging feature is also noteworthy. Just two minutes of charging is said to provide up to 3.5 hours of use. Additionally, the mouse supports up to five onboard profiles, allowing custom settings to be saved directly on the device.

From a sustainability perspective, Logitech G uses at least 51 percent recycled plastic. Additionally, the design features easily accessible screws to facilitate repairs and extend the product’s lifespan.

Logitech G316 X Gaming Keyboard Combines 8-kHz Performance with High Customizability

The new G316 X is aimed at gamers looking for a high-performance mechanical keyboard with extensive customization options. The 98-percent layout offers nearly the same functionality as a full-size keyboard in a more compact form factor. Particularly noteworthy is the 8-kHz polling rate, which enables a response time of just 0.125 milliseconds.

For the typing feel, Logitech relies on a multi-layer snap-fit gasket design that eliminates visible screws while delivering a rich, “thocky” sound. The keyboard is available with linear or tactile mechanical switches and supports hot-swap functionality, allowing switches to be replaced without soldering.

Features also include a LIGHTSYNC RGB light bar with 30 customizable zones, per-key RGB lighting, and an integrated dot-matrix display. This is complemented by a rotary dial that allows users to directly adjust volume, media controls, brightness, or the polling rate.

Using the Logitech G HUB software, users can create macros, change key assignments, and configure all lighting functions. Like the mouse, the keyboard is made with a high percentage of recycled materials and comes in plastic-free packaging.

Conclusion

With the new G3 series, Logitech G positions high-performance gaming peripherals between the entry-level and high-end segments. The G305 X SUPERLIGHT impresses with its light weight, long battery life, and precise HERO 44K sensor. The G316 X stands out with fast 8-kHz technology, hot-swap switches, and extensive customization options. Both products are now available in black and white.
