JBL 4369 Studio Monitor: Harman takes legendary studio sound to the next generation

At the Tokyo International Audio Show, the HARMAN Luxury Audio Group presented the JBL 4369 Studio Monitor – a new flagship for discerning audiophiles and music lovers. Building on the success of the JBL 4367, the 4369 takes the traditional studio monitor series to a new technical and acoustic level. With revised drivers, an advanced crossover and precise engineering, it defines what authentic high-end sound reproduction means in the 21st century.

  • Newly developed 15-inch differential drive woofer with dual voice coils
  • D2830B ring cone compression driver with Sonoglass HDI horn for precise imaging
  • MultiCap™ crossover with DC bias for maximum signal purity
  • Premium enclosure with IsoAcoustics isolation feet and elegant veneer finish

Tradition meets innovation

The JBL 4369 Studio Monitor was designed to continue the brand’s acoustic heritage while incorporating state-of-the-art engineering. Its predecessor, the JBL 4367, was already regarded as one of the most dynamic and authentic speakers in its class – the new 4369 goes one step further.

At the center of the system is a newly developed 15-inch 2219Nd-1 Differential Drive® woofer equipped with two 3-inch voice coils and a powerful neodymium magnet. This design provides exceptional low and midrange control while minimizing distortion. The ribbed paper cone and sturdy cast aluminum frame ensure precision and stability even at high levels – a must for music that demands both punch and detail.

The JBL D2830B ring diaphragm compression driver is used for the higher frequencies. With its dual cone structure and an advanced Sonoglass High Definition Imaging (HDI™) horn, it delivers a detailed, spacious and natural sounding reproduction. The result is a lively and precise spatial imaging that is reminiscent of professional studio setups. Together, the two drivers form a perfectly tuned 2-way system that brings studio quality into the living room.

Sound precision through technical sophistication

In addition to the new drivers, JBL uses a MultiCap crossover with DC-biased capacitors in the 4369 to keep the signal particularly clean and dynamic. Two bass reflex ports at the front ensure controlled bass and an extended sound volume. The system is supported by IsoAcoustics Stage 1 isolation feet, which minimize disruptive floor resonances and ensure precise reproduction.

User-friendliness has also been well thought out: the tweeter and super high frequency ranges can be individually adjusted on the front, while the rear connection panel made of solid aluminum with gold-plated double terminals enables bi-wiring and bi-amping configurations.

Visually, the JBL 4369 remains true to the iconic design language of its predecessors. The 1-inch MDF cabinet with double-layer front baffle is offered in two high-quality veneers – Walnut with a classic blue front or Black Walnut with a black baffle. The striking proportions and meticulous workmanship give the speaker an aesthetic presence that perfectly reflects its technical performance.

Conclusion

With the JBL 4369 Studio Monitor, HARMAN is launching a model that combines the best of tradition and modernity. It embodies JBL’s studio DNA – precise, powerful and authentic – and sets new standards in high-end sound reproduction.

The JBL 4369 Studio Monitor is expected to be available in German-speaking countries in the second quarter of 2026. The recommended retail price is 20,000 euros per pair – a price that underlines the loudspeaker’s claim to be the new reference model for audiophile studio sound.
