As part of the Consumer Electronics Show CES, HARMAN International is previewing new products and technologies with its HARMAN ExPLORE 2022 showcase. In the Consumer Audio division, the company presented new portable speakers, party speakers and gaming products under the JBL brand. Among them were the JBL Pulse 5 and JBL BoomBox 3 Bluetooth speakers.
JBL Pulse 5 and JBL BoomBox 3
Fans of mobile music enjoyment will get their money’s worth with the JBL Pulse 5 and JBL BoomBox 3 Bluetooth speakers. The JBL Pulse 5 scores with 360-degree sound and allows for a pulsating light show under its improved, sleek finish. With improved IP67 certification and support for Bluetooth V5.3, the new edition now offers even more flexibility and options.
The JBL Pulse 5’s batteries provide up to 12 hours of music playback. With the JBL PartyBoost feature, music lovers can wirelessly connect to an infinite number of other JBL PartyBoost-enabled speakers. This includes other compatible JBL Pulse speakers to create a more intense light show and richer sound. Through the JBL Portable app, partygoers can select colors and effects to match the mood, whether the music is on or off.
The new JBL BoomBox 3 features a 3-way speaker design for powerful sound including massive bass and delivers up to 24 hours of party feeling with a potent battery. The 3-way speaker system is composed of a powerful Racetrack subwoofer, two midrange speakers and two tweeters.
JBL PartyBox Encore
The new party speaker delivers an impressive 100W of sound and features a built-in light show that syncs with the music. The JBL PartyBox Encore also features a digital wireless microphone, so nothing can get in the way of your next karaoke party.
The JBL PartyBox Encore features a rubberized carrying handle, making it easy to transport to backyard parties, barbecues and karaoke parties. With up to 10 hours of battery life and a splash-proof design (IPX4), music lovers can party all night indoors or out without worrying about bad weather.
Using the dedicated JBL PartyBox app, partygoers can also set a dynamic light show with cool strobe effects and club lights that sync with the beat of the music.
JBL Live Pro 2
The in-ear headphones segment also has an exciting new addition in the form of the JBL Live Pro 2. The JBL Live Pro 2 wireless in-ear headphones feature 11mm drivers in a stick design with oval listening channels that deliver optimized noise-cancelling and improved audio quality.
True Adaptive Noise-Cancelling with Smart Ambient lets you adjust the intensity of background noise to perceive your surroundings or enjoy conversations without removing the earphones. Hands-free support and the dedicated JBL headphones app allow easy access to favorite voice assistants. The IPX5 water and splash protection rating allows for outdoor use. Playback time is said to be an impressive 40 hours.
JBL Quantum: New products in series
Two real highlights for gamers also complement the established JBL Quantum series. The USB dual condenser microphone JBL Quantum Stream presents itself as the ideal complement for gaming or for the production of podcasts and conversations. For this purpose, various patterns for voice recording are available for selection, as well as a quick mute option.
For the first time, JBL is also offering a True Wireless earphone specifically for gamers. The JBL Quantum TWS combines JBL QuantumSURROUND spatial surround sound with True Adaptive Noise-Cancelling and Ambient Aware features.
They’re also unveiling two new over-ear headphones, the JBL Quantum 810 and JBL Quantum 610, with JBL QuantumSURROUND and DTS Headphone:X 2.0 for long gaming sessions.
Prices and availability
The JBL Pulse 5 and JBL BoomBox 3 will be available in summer 2022 on JBL.com and at select retailers. In terms of price, the Pulse 5 has an MSRP of 249.00 euros, while the BoomBox 3 is priced at 549.00 euros.
The JBL PartyBox Encore will be available in summer 2022 for a suggested retail price of 349.00 euros, and the JBL LIVE Pro 2 earphones will be available in spring 2022 for an MSRP of 179.95 euros.
All new additions to the JBL Quantum line will be available on JBL.com and at select retailers in Spring 2022. They are priced at 149.00 euros (JBL Quantum TWS), 99.00 euros for the JBL Quantum Stream and 149.00 euros (JBL Quantum 610) and 179.00 euros (JBL Quantum 810).
