With the JBL Quantum 910 Wireless, the manufacturer officially unveiled its latest gaming headset at gamescom 2022, after the 810 and 610 models were already launched in May 2022. The new top model features head-tracking and 360-degree surround sound.
JBL Quantum 910 Wireless unveiled at gamescom
The new JBL Quantum 910 Wireless gaming headset marks the manufacturer’s top-of-the-line model and aims to feature large 50mm high-res drivers for superior sound. Also offered is 360-degree surround sound with JBL QuantumSPHERE360 and JBL Quantum SPATIAL 360.
The head tracking is also exciting. Built-in sensors precisely track every little head movement for optimal sound placement and an immersive in-game audio experience. The sounds appear in a 360° 3D space, which should provide an advantage especially in competitive games.
“The next-gen imitation of a 360-degree room and JBL Quantum SURROUND reproduce the feeling of space in virtual worlds even more realistically and enable full immersion in the game,” promises the manufacturer.
ANC, battery life and features
The JBL Quantum 910 Wireless, like the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless (our review) or the Sony Inzone H9 (our review) most recently, for example, offers active noise cancellation (ANC). The boom microphone, which can be muted by folding it back, should also ensure clear intelligibility.
In terms of communication, the headset is also a real all-rounder. It offers a wireless 2.4 GHz connection with low latency and USB-A and USB-C adapters, as well as use via Bluetooth 5.2 with smartphones or tablets. However, the Quantum 910 Wireless can also be connected via a 3.5 mm jack cable if desired.
According to the manufacturer, the battery life is 39 hours, whereby the gaming headset can be used via USB charging cable thanks to Play & Charge while you charge the battery.
The features at a glance:
- Dual Spatial Audio: JBL QuantumSPHERE 360 and JBL Quantum SPATIAL 360TM audio with integrated head tracking for best spatial surround sound solution on PC (JBL QuantumSPHERE 360 & head tracking) and Playstation (head tracking) via USB-C wireless connection
