JBL shows two earphones with ANC and IPX7

The Harman company has introduced two new earphones with ANC under its JBL brand, in direct competition with the Apple AirPods. Both earplugs have a long battery life and offer excellent audio quality.

Features of the new JBL earphones

The two new Bluetooth earphones JBL Live Free NC+ and Reflect Mini TWS feature ANC technology, which filters out annoying external noise and reduces it by counter-noise. When listening to music, the user is therefore no longer distracted by sounds from his surroundings and can enjoy the songs.

The manufacturer did not publish any information on wind reduction. Like the Apple AirPods, the new JBL earphones offer a transparency mode which, if desired, does not filter out outside noise such as conversations.

Waterproof and dustproof

In addition to good sound quality, JBL Live Free NC+ and Reflect Mini TWS have IPX7 certification, making them resistant to water and dust. The radio standard Bluetooth 5.0 is supported and with exchangeable attachments a pleasant wearing comfort is offered. Features of the Reflect Mini TWS are ear fins, which are designed to prevent them from falling out of the ear.

The two JBL earplugs are controlled by sensor fields which have been assigned the appropriate functions. The assistants Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant are supported and the Reflect Mini NC also has ear recognition.

Both models have six hours battery life each, which is a solid value for ANC earphones. The included charging box allows the earphones to be recharged twice, resulting in 18 hours total battery life. The charging case supports the wireless Qi standard and offers a USB-C port.

In October the JBL Reflect Mini TWS will be available for 100 Euros and the JBL Live Free NC+ for 180 Euros.
