Kolink Observatory Y and Stronghold Prime: New cases in matte black

Manufacturer Kolink launches three high-quality new PC cases in matte black color scheme. With the Kolink Observatory Y coming in two different variants, the Stronghold Prime relies on matte black steel cladding and a hinged tempered glass door.

Kolink Observatory Y: ARGB with tempered glass or mesh

The Kolink Observatory Y case comes with four ARGB fans pre-installed and is available in two variants. You have the choice between chic temperglass or air-permeable mesh in the front.

Four Kolink Umbra ARGB 120 mm fans are on board ex works and provide both airflow and color accents. The clever side air intakes provide a steady supply of fresh air for both.

Kolink Stronghold Prime with classic looks

The Kolink Stronghold Prime, on the other hand, focuses more on a classic, sleek look. The steel midi tower impresses with its smooth, matte black front. In return, however, there is a hinged door made of tempered glass that allows a view into the interior.

All three cases are available as midi-towers and are made of high-quality materials. The frame and paneling are made of 0.7 mm thick SPCC steel, providing a sturdy structure for the cases.

All cases have a dedicated chamber under the PSU cover that can accommodate an ATX form factor PSU up to 190mm in length. There is also a drive cage in this area with room for two 3.5-inch HDDs. On the back of the motherboard backplate are mounts for three 2.5-inch SSDs.

The spacious interior is easily accessible thanks to the removable side panels and offers enough room for your high-end hardware. With the optionally available GPU kit, graphics cards can even be installed vertically. The I/O panel is also shared by all three models. Two USB 3.1 ports, one USB 2.0 port, and 3.5 mm jack input and output are available here.

Price and availability

All three PC cases will be offered in Caseking’s online shop. First up is the Kolink Observatory Y ARGB, which is available now at a price of 124.90 euros. The Kolink Observatory Y Mesh will follow in mid-March 2022 (expected to be available March 10) at the same price, while the Kolink Stronghold Prime is also available now. Here, the manufacturer is calling for 94.90 euros.

The Kolink GPU kit for the vertical installation of a graphics card is available for 32.90 euros and fits all three cases. It is also available in the online store now.
