Kolink Rocket Heavy Vented: New SFF case with air holes comes at a proud price

More holes than a Swiss cheese: The new SFF case Kolink Rocket Heavy Vented of the Mini-ITX series replaces the familiar glass side panels with an aluminum side that is riddled with numerous air holes. Thus, one wants to enable a particularly strong cooling.

Small case

The Kolink Rocket Heavy Vented comes with dimensions of 350 × 180 × 256 mm (L x W x H) and offers space for 16.13 liters. Despite the aluminum chassis, it weighs around 3.67 kg. The manufacturer uses a similar sandwich layout of the mini-ITX case, as it is also used in the Dan A4.

The graphics card moves directly behind the motherboard with the help of a riser cable, where it can be directly supplied with fresh air via the side panel with numerous air intakes – just like the CPU cooler. This is how the manufacturer wants to get a grip on the problem of poor ventilation in corresponding cases.

In the case of the Rocket Heavy Vented, side panels with hexagonal openings are used to provide additional cooling, especially on the side where the graphics card is installed. In the lid, the case offers space for a maximum 240 mm radiator, which directly dissipates the heat from the CPU.

From the factory, the case is equipped with a single PWM fan placed under the lid. The PSU mount is open at the front, which allows for additional air circulation and cooling of the GPU.

Price and Availability

However, Kolink makes you pay dearly for the extra ventilation on the Rocket Heavy Vented. The case is now available in stores such as Caseking’s online store and has an MSRP of 119.90 Euros.
