Legion Y25-30g: Lenovo launches 360 Hz monitor on the market

With the Legion Y25-30g, Lenovo wants to catch up with Acer, Asus and Dell, who all launched monitors with a refresh rate of 360 Hz some time ago. The trend towards screens with ever higher refresh rates, which are especially popular with gamers, thus continues.

Lenovo targets professionals

Undeniably, a higher refresh rate reduces latency and streaking, providing a noticeable advantage in gaming. While the difference between 60 Hz and 120 Hz is very visible for the vast majority of people, the differences between even higher refresh rates decrease more and more, so the investment is hardly worth it for ordinary users. However, especially in the professional and semi-professional sector, more and more gamers swear by monitors that have higher and higher rates to offer. Thus, it is clear that Lenovo’s new device is primarily aimed at eSportsmen and women who are professionally equipped and for whom even the smallest additional advantages can be of great importance.

In addition to the high refresh rate, Nvidia’s Reflex Latency Analyzer should also serve this goal.
Furthermore, the 24-inch IPS panel used wants to score with a response time of one millisecond when switching between grayscales, 8-bit color depth, a brightness of 400 cd/m², a contrast ratio of 1000:1, a 99% sRGB coverage and G-Sync. Meanwhile, the resolution is FullHD. There is also a Display Port 1.4 port, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and a USB hub with three USB-A ports and one USB-C port. Furthermore, the monitor is equipped with integrated speakers, an audio jack, and a hook for hanging headsets.

Price and availability

It is currently unknown when the device will hit the market and how expensive it will be. Similarly equipped competitor products can be had for 600 to 800 euros.
