At the Mobile World Congress 2026, Lenovo is presenting a wide range of new consumer devices with a strong focus on AI. From powerful Yoga convertibles and ultra-light IdeaPads to gaming hardware from the Legion series, the manufacturer is demonstrating how mobility, creativity and productivity can increasingly be combined. The portfolio is complemented by forward-looking concept devices such as a glasses-free 3D notebook and a foldable gaming handheld – a clear indication of the strategic direction towards system-wide AI integration.
- New Yoga, IdeaPad and Legion models with AI processors from Intel and AMD
- Lenovo Qira as system-wide AI for PCs, tablets and smartphones
- 3D notebook and foldable gaming concepts as technology carriers
- Market launch from March 2026, prices from 549 euros (tablet)
Lenovo Consumer AI laptops: Yoga, IdeaPad and Legion in the age of AI
At the center of the announcements are new AI laptops, including the Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition, which is positioned as a Windows 11-based Copilot+ PC. The convertible combines a 2.8K PureSight Pro OLED display with up to 1100 nits of brightness and 100 percent DCI-P3, Adobe RGB and sRGB coverage. With Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, Thunderbolt 4 ports and a weight of just 1.29 kg, it addresses demanding creative workflows on the go. Features such as Canvas Mode and the Yoga Pen Gen 2 with AES 3.0 support noticeably improve pen precision.
For compute-intensive creative applications, Lenovo brings the Yoga Pro 7a with AMD Ryzen AI Max+ processors into play. Thanks to Unified Memory Architecture with up to 128 GB RAM and up to 95W TDP, the model is suitable for rendering, AI-supported image processing and multitasking. This is complemented by Lenovo X Power cooling and a 15.3-inch 2.5K OLED screen with Dolby Atmos.
The IdeaPad Slim 5i Ultra covers mobile working. With up to 20 hours of video playback, a 65Wh battery and a weight of just 1.15 kg, it is clearly designed for portability. OLED options with 120Hz and integrated AI acceleration underline its all-round character.
Lenovo Qira – a system-wide “Personal Ambient Intelligence” – plays a central role. Unlike classic AI apps, Qira is deeply integrated into the system and accesses applications based on context, suggests actions and synchronizes content across devices. The rollout is starting in several regions and languages and is also set to include Motorola smartphones in the future. Technically, this approach seems plausible, as it is based on existing Copilot+ and NPU structures of current processors.
Gaming, tablets and concepts: Legion and Idea Tab Pro Gen 2
In the gaming segment, Lenovo is presenting the Legion 7a, a particularly slim 15.3-inch gaming notebook with an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ processor and integrated Radeon graphics. The Unified Memory Architecture eliminates the need for a dedicated GPU, which reduces weight (1.65 kg) and energy consumption. The performance should be sufficient for many modern titles, but hardcore gaming with maximum settings is reserved for classic high-end hardware.
Mobile high-performance gaming is addressed by the Legion Tab with 3K display and 165Hz. Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, up to 16 GB RAM and 9000 mAh battery indicate a real performance tablet. The combination of high refresh rate and AI-optimized touch sensitivity fits in with current trends in mobile gaming.
The Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 delivers productivity in tablet format. It is the first tablet with Lenovo Qira and relies on Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. With a 13-inch 3.5K display, 10200 mAh battery and optional matte display variant, it appears to be a versatile companion for studies and business.
The concept devices are particularly exciting in terms of technology: The Yoga Book Pro 3D Concept enables glasses-free 3D display with tandem OLED and AI-supported 2D-to-3D conversion. The Legion Go Fold Concept combines a foldable POLED display (7.7 to 11.6 inches) with modular controllers. Both devices clearly show the direction of innovation, but remain feasibility studies without a market date for the time being.
Conclusion
At MWC 2026, Lenovo impressively demonstrated the extent to which AI is now being integrated into consumer hardware. With new consumer AI laptops, powerful tablets and ambitious gaming devices, the portfolio covers almost all usage scenarios. Prices start at 549 euros for the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2, while the Yoga 9i starts at 1,799 euros. Most devices will be released between March and June 2026 in EMEA. Overall, the specifications and positioning appear to be in line with the market and technically comprehensible.
