Lenovo has unveiled the IdeaPad Slim 5 14ARP10, a new 14-inch laptop for the German market that features an OLED display, an AMD Ryzen 5 7533HS processor, and, according to the manufacturer, more than 18 hours of battery life. The starting price is 999 euros, and the device is available in Germany and Austria. A U.S. launch is not currently planned.
Technical Specifications of the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 14ARP10
At its core is an AMD Ryzen 5 7533HS from the Rembrandt Refresh generation with integrated Radeon 660M graphics. Thanks to two SODIMM slots, the RAM can be upgraded to up to 32 GB of DDR5-4800, and storage is provided by two M.2 slots (2242 and 2280). This makes the Slim 5 more flexible in terms of serviceability than many competitors with soldered-on RAM.

OLED display with HDR certification
The 14-inch panel in 16:10 aspect ratio has a resolution of 1,920 × 1,200 pixels and, according to Lenovo, fully covers the DCI-P3 color space. The display is certified to VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500, with a peak brightness of 400 nits. However, the refresh rate remains at 60 Hz. This isn’t unusual for a multimedia and office device, but those who prioritize high refresh rates will be disappointed.
Battery Life: More Than 18 Hours According to the Manufacturer
According to Lenovo, the built-in 60-Wh battery is rated for over 18 hours of runtime when playing 1080p video with the display set to 150 nits. As is typical with manufacturer specifications, this figure is likely to be lower in everyday use with more demanding tasks and higher display brightness. Independent battery life tests under real-world conditions are still pending.
Price and Availability
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 14ARP10 is now available in Germany and Austria starting at 999 euros. Lenovo has not yet announced a U.S. launch.
Conclusion
With the IdeaPad Slim 5 14ARP10, Lenovo is bringing a well-equipped 14-inch laptop to Germany featuring an OLED display, decent processing power, and—according to the manufacturer—very long battery life, all at an entry-level price of 999 euros. The expandability of the RAM and SSD stands out particularly in this price range. Whether the promised 18 hours of battery life holds up in everyday use remains to be seen in independent tests.
