Lenovo has introduced new true-wireless in-ear headphones, the Lenovo Smart Wireless Earbuds, which leave little to be desired in terms of features and are offered at an attractive retail price.
ANC function and strong battery life
In terms of design, the Lenovo Smart Wireless Earbuds, available in black and white, hardly differ from other in-ear headphones, even though the manufacturer relies on a rather wide surface with rounded edges on the outside.
Inside, however, things look a bit more exciting. Lenovo promises a “Smart Adaptive Noise Cancelling” feature, where six microphones analyze the background noise in the environment and adaptively reduce background noise. 11 mm dynamic drivers are supposed to provide a rich sound.
Smart Pair for quick pairing with Android and Windows devices is also supported, and connection to an audio source is via Bluetooth 5.2. Thanks to Enhance Multipoint technology, the TWS earphones can be connected to two devices simultaneously. They are operated using the touch-sensitive surfaces on the outside, which can be used to control music playback and answer calls.
In addition, the Lenovo Earbuds are protected against splashing water and sweat thanks to IPX4 certification, which also qualifies them for use during sports. They weigh just 4.5 grams per earbud and achieve a maximum battery life of 28 hours in combination with the charging case. Up to 7 hours of music playback are possible with the earphones without ANC function, but only 5.4 hours with active noise cancellation. Charging is optional via USB-C or wirelessly.
Price and availability
The Lenovo Smart Wireless Earbuds will find their way into stores from the end of October 2021. The manufacturer’s MSRP is 99.99 Euros.
