Lenovo ThinkBook 14s Yoga Gen 2: Convertible for less than 1,000 Euros introduced

With the ThinkBook 14s Yoga Gen 2, Lenovo has introduced a new convertible that is available for less than 1,000 Euros. The target group is primarily students who are looking for a powerful yet affordable device that allows great flexibility.

Foldable touch display

The new device scores with the core aspect of any convertible: the touch display can be folded down, allowing for very different uses. Thus, the device can not only be used as an ordinary laptop, but also as a kind of digital notepad. This also ensures flexibility in terms of location, as an ordinary laptop is quite unwieldy on the train, for example, which is no longer the case when folded.

The device’s display measures fourteen inches diagonally and has a Full HD resolution. The maximum brightness is 300 cd/m², and the use with a pen is supported – which is a big advantage especially in the lecture setting.

Intel processors provide performance

Twelfth-generation Intel processors work inside the convertible, which provides strong performance and sets the device apart from its predecessor. The selected processor is supported by up to 40 GB of DDR4 RAM. In addition, there is an internal storage of up to one TB, which is distributed over two M.2 slots. There is also a battery with a capacity of 60 Wh, which is supposed to supply the device with enough energy for up to 8.6 hours of use.

The features of the new convertible are rounded off by a Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB 3.1 ports, an HDMI 2.0 output, a USB Type-C port with DisplayPort and PowerDelivery support as well as a headphone jack and a microSD card reader. The Windows 11 Pro operating system is preinstalled.

Price and availability

The convertible will be available from June this year. The entry-level price is 899 euros.
