Lenovo has also launched the ThinkBook 14x internationally without much fanfare. The 14-inch laptop had previously been released in China as the ThinkBook X AI 2026 and is now available for order in the official German Lenovo store.

Lighter than the standard ThinkBook 14

The ThinkBook 14x is positioned as a lighter alternative to the ThinkBook 14 Gen 9: While the latter weighs about 1.4 kg, the new model, in the configuration with a 54.7-Wh battery, tips the scales at just 990 grams. This slim weight is made possible in part by Intel’s Lunar Lake platform, which Lenovo has incorporated here.

This platform is also already used in other current business devices, such as the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition. Lenovo has thus deliberately chosen not to rely on the newer Core Ultra 200V “Panther Lake” generation, but rather on the already established Lunar Lake series.

Powerful iGPU, but only 16 GB of RAM for now

Despite the older platform, the Core Ultra 7 256V and Core Ultra 7 266V deliver decent graphics performance thanks to their Arc 140V graphics unit. Those looking for a more affordable option can opt for the Core Ultra 5 226V, which lags significantly behind the more powerful variants in terms of CPU and GPU performance.

Lenovo ThinkBook 14x

Currently, Lenovo offers the ThinkBook 14x exclusively with 16 GB of RAM, but according to Lenovo’s PSREF datasheet, models with 32 GB are expected to follow later. For storage, you can choose between 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB M.2-2242 SSDs; an additional empty M.2-2280 slot allows for future upgrades.

Display Highlight: 120Hz OLED with up to 1,100 nits

In total, Lenovo lists three different 120Hz displays for the ThinkBook 14x. The standout feature is an OLED panel with 1800p resolution, a variable refresh rate, and a peak SDR brightness of 500 nits, which increases to up to 1,100 nits in HDR mode.
