Lenovo presented two new notebooks at the CES 2023 for the equivalent of about 750 Euros, which nevertheless have a lot to offer from a technical point of view. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 6i 14 features a 120 Hz touchscreen, while the lightweight Lenovo Yoga 6 13 Convertible relies on the latest AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs and a 13.3-inch touchscreen.

At CES 2023 in Las Vegas, Lenovo went full throttle and unveiled a whole range of exciting devices. In addition to the beastly strong gaming notebook Legion Pro 7, they also present the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i with two OLED displays or the no less innovative ThinkBook Plus Twist.
Now two more ordinary notebooks follow with the Lenovo Yoga Slim 6i 14 and Yoga 6 13 Convertible, which both want to score with a touchscreen and strong price-performance ratio.
The Yoga Slim 6i 14, for example, features the latest 13th generation Intel Core processors, integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics, as well as 8 GB or 16 GB RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB M.2 SSD storage.
The display is a highlight, because you have three options to choose from. They all have a screen size of 14 inches, but differ in terms of resolution, for example.
There is a 2.8K LC display (2,880 x 1,800 pixels) with 400 nits brightness, 120 Hz refresh rate and touch capability. Alternatively, a 2.2K display (2,240 x 1,400 pixels) with 60 Hz and 300 nits or a WUXGA display (1,920 x 1,200 pixels) with OLED technology, 400 nits and 60 Hz are available. They all cover the DCI-P3 color space to a full 100 percent.
The rest of the equipment includes, for example, two 2-watt speakers with Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio, Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1, as well as two Thunderbolt 4 ports each, which are complemented by HDMI once, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A once and a 3.5 mm jack.
At the same time, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 6i 14 measures just 312 x 221 x 14.9 mm and weighs just 1.39 kg. A Full HD webcam with physical aperture and Windows Hello support is also offered.
Lenovo Yoga 6 13 Convertible in detail
Also exciting is the Lenovo Yoga 6 13 Convertible, which comes with a 13.3-inch Full HD+ touchscreen (1,920 x 1,200 pixels). It gets 300 nits bright, offers a refresh rate of 60 Hz and covers the sRGB color space completely.
On the CPU side, new AMD Ryzen 7000 processors are used, here you can choose between the Ryzen 5 7530U with six cores or the Ryzen 77730U with eight cores. They are supported by an integrated AMD Radeon graphics unit, 8 or 16 GB RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB PCIe M.2 SSD storage.
As is typical for convertibles, the display can of course be completely folded down to use the 304 mm x 218 mm x 17.36/17.45 mm and around 1.39 kg device like a tablet. There are also differences in the choice of materials, because besides a classic aluminum chassis, the lid is optionally available with a soft fabric cover.
The battery is said to be able to last up to 17 hours in video playback at 150 nits brightness. A 1080p webcam with privacy shutter and Windows Hello is also offered by the Lenovo Yoga 6 13 convertible. So do two 2-watt speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. On the connectivity side, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C (with PowerDelivery and DisplayPort function), one HDMI 2.0, a 3.5 mm jack and a microSD card reader are offered.
Prices and availability
Lenovo Yoga Slim 6i 14 and Yoga 6 13 Convertible are scheduled to be available in the US in April 2023. The price starts at an MSRP of around 730 US dollars, but the manufacturer has not yet revealed a concrete date or prices for the German market.
