LG Aero Furniture: Futuristic table integrates air purifier, charging pad and more

LG is really pushing technology forward with innovative ideas this year. After the Evo ART90 designer smart TV and the Libero 27BQ70QC that can be hung, they are now introducing the LG Aero Furniture. A smart table with integrated air purifier, Qi charging pad and more.

Okay, okay. Strictly speaking, the LG Aero Furniture is not a table, but rather a smart air purifier that looks like a table. At least, that’s how the manufacturer describes the new launch. The manufacturer will show the newest member of the PuriCare Objet Collection to the public at the IFA 2022 in early September, but is already presenting the most important details in advance.

The LG Aero Furniture is supposed to be characterized by a relatively small size and a design that can be adapted to individual preferences. How compact the whole thing is is not apparent from the press release. The colors Crème Rose, Crème Yellow and Crème Grey are available for selection, as well as either a round or oval shape.

Even though the manufacturer doesn’t directly talk about a table, objects are supposed to be placed on the surface or decorative objects can be displayed. That already sounds quite strongly like a table, I think.

Smart features

But the LG Aero Furniture has a lot more to offer. On the underside, there are controls that can be used to control the device. Namely, integrated is an air purifier that uses the manufacturer’s UVnano technology to kill viruses and bacteria at 99.99 percent.

The air quality can also be read through small LED indicators on the tabletop, while the air is also purified through multi-stage filtration using a combination of Ultra-fine Filter, Dust Collector Filter and Deodorization Filter.

Also integrated is a Qi-enabled charging pad that can be used to charge smartphones or wireless earbuds, according to the manufacturer. It charges Samsung Galaxy smartphones with a maximum of 10 watts and an iPhone with up to 7.5 watts.

In addition, there is a “Mood Lighting” feature that can be used to provide atmospheric ambient lighting in eight different colors. The control is conveniently possible via the LG ThinQ app. In the future, the LG Aero Furniture will also be offered in limited special editions in other designs that also make use of sustainable materials.

It is unclear when the air purifier table will be available. You can at least take a look at it and try it out at IFA 2022 in Hall 18 at LG’s booth, where further exciting innovations are promised.
