LG Electronics was named “Best Brand of IFA 2026” at the 2026 IFA Innovation Awards, one of three major awards presented annually by IFA management. In addition, the company took home category wins for the OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV and the LG Sound Suite, as well as five other Honoree awards.
In a nutshell:
- LG wins the top prize, “Best Brand of IFA 2026”
- The LG OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV wins in the “Best in Home & Entertainment” category
- The LG Sound Suite wins the “Best in Audio” category
- Five additional LG products receive an Honoree award
LG is the “Best Brand of IFA 2026”
The title “Best Brand of IFA 2026” is one of three major awards presented annually by IFA management. The evaluation covers the entire brand across multiple product categories, not a single device. For LG, the award is likely to have a lasting impact, particularly in marketing: The title will likely feature prominently in future press releases.
“We are very pleased to receive this award, which is the result of our continuous innovation. Being named ‘Best Brand of IFA 2026’ is an important validation of our strategic direction,” explains Harry Kim, CEO of LG Electronics Germany. “It shows that our focus on customer-oriented solutions designed for everyday use is resonating in the market. We develop technologies that offer real added value—an award like this motivates us to continue steadfastly on this path.”
LG OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV Wins in the “Best in Home & Entertainment” Category
The LG OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV took the top spot in the “Best in Home & Entertainment” category. The name says it all: With a panel just 9 mm thick, the TV fits almost seamlessly against the wall, just like wallpaper.
Technologically, the model features the new Hyper Radiant Color Tech (HRCT), which—in combination with the Brightness Booster Ultra—is designed to deliver intense contrast, reduced reflections, and high peak brightness. The compact Zero Connect Box also helps keep the room looking tidy: It bundles all cables and connections away from the screen and transmits video and audio wirelessly—and, according to LG, without any loss of quality—to the TV at up to 4K resolution at 165 Hz. For gaming, the W6 is thus well-equipped—at least on paper.
In Germany, the W6 is already available under the name LG Gallery TV in 77- and 83-inch sizes; the 77-inch model starts at around 3,999 euros.
LG Sound Suite Wins the “Best in Audio” Category
LG also enjoyed success in the audio awards: The LG Sound Suite was honored in the “Best in Audio” category. The system moves away from rigid speaker setups and instead relies on Dolby Atmos FlexConnect (DAFC): Owners of a compatible LG TV can connect speakers and a subwoofer directly to the TV; alternatively, the H7 soundbar acts as the hub.
Particularly convenient: The system analyzes the room acoustics and dynamically adjusts the sound to the listeners’ current seating positions, ensuring a balanced, room-filling sound experience from any seat in the room.
“The fact that we were able to win two of the coveted IFA Innovation Awards—for the LG Sound Suite and the OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV—confirms our vision for the modern home theater,” said SP Baik, Display CX Division Leader at LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “With our products, we aim not only to set technological standards but also to enrich our customers’ homes and offer them first-class entertainment experiences.”
Additional LG IFA Innovation Award Honorees
In addition to the two main categories, five other LG products were recognized as “IFA Innovation Award Honorees”:
- LG xboom Stage 501 (Audio category)
- LG OLED evo G6 (Home & Entertainment category)
- LG Micro RGB TV (MRGB96)
- LG Mini RGB TV (MRGB88)
- LG StandbyME 2 Max
Conclusion
Two category wins plus the title of best brand at the trade show: That’s a solid haul for LG at IFA 2026, especially given that the jury now evaluates a wide range of categories. Whether this ultimately resonates with buyers depends primarily on the price. At 3,999 euros, the 77-inch W6 is no bargain, and the Sound Suite is also likely to reflect its premium status in the price tag .
