LG OLED65C2SW: OLED TV comes in limited Star Wars edition

LG is launching its 65-inch OLED TV in a strictly limited Star Wars edition. That’s according to an announcement from the manufacturer and a newsletter e-mail from the Saturn technology store. The new LG OLED evo-TV C2 in the Star Wars Edition is also coming to Germany and is to be unveiled on June 03.

Limited to just 501 units, the new LG OLED65C2SW will be available in the U.S. and Germany, according to a newsletter email from Saturn. “On a not-so-distant 03.06. we will unveil the new LG OLED evo TV Star Wars Edition,” it says. On the action page of LG, however, a corresponding countdown will run on June 06.

However, the OLED TV is already listed at Saturn in a 65-inch version. From a purely technical point of view, it is the already known LG TV from the C2 series (OLED65C2) including UltraHD 4K resolution with 3840 x 2160 pixels and 100/120 Hz refresh rate. In addition, there is HDMI 2.1, HDR10, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and an up-to-date evo panel.

However, the special features of the Star Wars Edition make the device additionally interesting. The back and remote of the TV come with the emblem of the Galactic Empire, while the shape of the remote cursor is modeled after a lightsaber.

When starting the webOS operating system, the iconic breathing sound of series giant Darth Vader is also heard. “Plus, you get access to numerous Star Wars storyboards and image galleries,” the retailer writes. A certificate of authenticity with a serial number and exclusive packaging round off the Limited Edition LG OLED65C2SW skillfully.

Price and Availability

The limited edition LG OLED65C2SW is already listed at Saturn at a price of 3,270 euros. The retailer names July 15, 2022 as the release date. Further details are to be announced on June 03.
