With the QNED and QNED evo models of 2025, LG is launching a series of exciting innovations onto the market. The new Zero Connect technology enables virtually wireless transmission of picture and sound for the first time in the QNED series. Virtually wireless TV experience with Zero Connect
Zero Connect technology is being used for the first time in a QNED model (QNED9M). This enables wireless transmission of 4K picture signals at up to 144 Hz. The signal is transmitted via the Zero Connect Box, which can be placed up to 10 meters away from the TV. Devices such as games consoles, set-top boxes or Blu-ray players are connected directly to the box, eliminating the need for annoying cables on the TV itself – only a single power cable remains.
This technology ensures a tidy setup and allows flexible positioning of the TV in the room. This opens up new design possibilities, especially in modern living environments, as the TV set no longer has to be placed near connections.
Optimized picture quality through AI-supported technologies
The new α8 Gen2 4K AI processor, which offers 70% higher AI performance than the previous model, ensures first-class picture and sound quality. This not only improves the upscaling of content, but also optimizes the display of faces, objects and text.
Another highlight is Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro, which divides each scene into thousands of areas. As a result, brightness and HDR optimization are precisely controlled, enabling an even more realistic display of light and shadow effects. In addition, the new Dynamic QNED Color Solution is used for the first time, which ensures a wider and more natural color space – an improvement over previous models that still relied on quantum dots.
The sound has also been optimized: Thanks to AI Sound Pro, conventional 2-channel stereo sound is converted into immersive 9.1.2 surround sound. This creates a home cinema experience that acoustically immerses the viewer in the scene.
Intelligent operation with AI Magic Remote and personalized recommendations
Operation of the new QNED TVs is made easier by various AI functions. The AI Magic Remote offers intuitive control:
- Short click: Call up all important functions.
- Long click: Activation of the personalized search, which is based on a large language model (LLM).
Using Voice ID, the TV recognizes the user by their voice and provides tailored content and app recommendations. The Generative AI Gallery also enables the creative display of individual works of art and images, allowing the TV to be used as a digital canvas.
Future-proof thanks to the webOS Re:New program
LG is also committed to long-term software support in 2025. The webOS Re:New program guarantees that buyers of a current QNED model will receive regular updates over the next four years. This includes not only new webOS versions, but also software and AI optimizations that continuously improve the user experience.
In addition to the new QNED series, LG will continue to offer a wide range of NanoCell and UHD TVs to cover different price and performance classes.
Price and availability
The LG QNED 2025 models were presented at the LG Convention 2025 in Frankfurt. The market launch will take place gradually over the course of the year.
