LIAN LI ODYSSEY X – aluminum case with three possible configurations.

The aluminum case and PC accessories manufacturer LIAN LI has introduced its new case the ODYSSEY X. Here, the modular frame of the full-tower case allows for transformation into two looks and three configurations.

Three in one case

Upon delivery, LIAN LI’s new ODYSSEY X comes in the so-called Dynamic mode and can be transformed into the Dynamic-R mode (rotatable) for a chimney-like configuration or just into the Performance mode for a complete change of orientation with the included accessories. To make this possible, the individual parts of the case have been designed to be used for different purposes. The side glass bezels are dark tinted and have an edge and hinge design, making them suitable for Performance and Dynamic modes while completely changing the look of the ODYSSEY X. Despite the same visor design, airflow is more intense in Performance mode, so thermal performance is improved.

Aside from the different configuration options, the modular design allows you to change the front bezel, bottom bezel, top bezel, and motherboard insert. To modify the appearance and performance of the case, the Dynamic mode front bezel, which is on the top in Performance mode, can be flipped over so that the ventilation gap is either in the middle of the front bezel or on the edge. This way, the airflow is redirected just the way you want it.

Aplenty of space

No matter which configuration you choose, the ODYSSEY X has plenty of room for water-cooled components. Thus, motherboards up to EEB, a radiator up to 480 mm, nine fans up to 120 mm or seven fans up to 140 mm have their place in the case. In addition, there is a removable as well as adjustable pump stand for the optimal alignment of the hoses, this is included. In addition to the removable sleeve holder, which makes the system look neat by hiding the cables, power supplies up to a length of 280 mm have room in the ODYSSEY X. Thus, even larger high-voltage power supplies can find space without any problems.

On the storage side, three 3.5-inch hard drives or three 2.5-inch SSDs can be installed. In terms of ports, the case offers two USB 3.0, one USB 3.1 Type-C, and one HD audio port. The design of the ODYSSEY X has been optimized for maximum performance and usability. The case measures 575.5 x 234 x 558.5 mm (D x W x H) in Dynamic and Dynamic-R mode and 537.1 x 368.6 x 596.7 mm in Performance mode.

Availability and Pricing

The new case from LIAN LI is now available for pre-order in stores in black and silver at a price of 460 euros. The manufacturer gives a one-year warranty for it.
