That the Uni Fan series from Lian Li has a lot going for it, we could only recently confirm again in the Lian Li Uni Fan AL120 V2 review. Now, the Lian Li Uni Fan P28 awaits us, a new 120mm PWM fan in black and white colors that puts its focus squarely on performance.
The Lian Li Uni Fan P28 in detail
With a 28mm thick frame, liquid crystal polymer fan blades, a hydrodynamic sleeve bearing and 3 speed modes (silent, noise/power balanced and maximum power), the Lian Li Uni Fan P28 is all about performance.
As always with the series, the new model can be interconnected via just a single cable to power entire fan clusters. RGB lighting can be accomplished if desired with an optional RGB side band that can be mounted on the side of the fans. In addition, bridging of up to two clusters is possible via an extension cable.
The Lian Li Uni Fan P28 relies on a design with nine fan blades made of liquid crystal polymer (FKP). According to the manufacturer, this is supposed to be stronger and allow for higher speeds without deforming. In addition, this allows for a fan frame with a thickness of 0.6 mm, which is thus subject to lower tolerances.
Overall, the fan is 28 mm thick, which provides more power due to the larger surface area of the fan blades. In addition, the P28 is equipped with hydrodynamic bearings, which allows for quieter and smoother engine operation.

Controller included
The Lian Li Uni Fan P28 comes with a control unit that magnetically fits anywhere in the case and has three three-number profiles. L mode allows for lower operating noise, M mode provides a perfect balance of operating noise and performance, and H mode retrieves the maximum possible performance.
The P28 can be interconnected and connected using daisy-chain. In addition, the P28 has removable interlocking fits for better compatibility with heatsink mounts, as well as to support an extension cable to bridge two fan clusters that can include up to 6 fans, and with only one controller, reducing the amount of cables.
The aluminum sideband can be replaced with an ARGB sideband if desired, which can be placed on either or both sides and is powered by a standard 5 volt ARGB cable. Thus, a seamless daisy-chain connection is enabled here as well.
