Lian Li: Upcoming products presented

Popular case manufacturer Lian Li has unveiled its plans for the future at its 2021 DIGITAL EXPO 2.0. In addition to upcoming products that are expected to hit the market soon, the company has also unveiled two exciting prototypes.

Midi Tower Prototype: Lancool III

With the Lancool III, let’s take a look at the first prototype presented by Lian Li. The new case is supposed to be primarily suitable for slightly more affordable PC setups. In the size of a midi tower, it offers efficient airflow according to Lian Li. This is made possible by the grid pattern, which is located on the front as well as the lid of the case. Something special is probably the I/O panel in modular design. Here you should have the option to place the interface unit either at the top or bottom of the front of the case.

Due to the midi-tower size, users have to pay attention to a few restrictions when choosing suitable hardware. For example, a maximum of E-ATX mainboards should be able to find space inside the case. The GPU can be just under 40 cm long and the cooler can be up to 17.6 cm high. In total, up to ten fans should fit inside the Lancool III. They can each have a maximum diameter of 120 mm. Those who want to install larger fans with a diameter of 140 mm will find four slots again. There are also four places for drives in the size of 3.5 inches or 2.5 inches. On top of that, there are supposed to be two additional slots for drives in the size of 2.5 inches in the Lancool III.

Fan prototype: UNI FAN SL120 INFINITY

The second prototype presented is not a case. Instead, Lian Li has unveiled a planned fan. The UNI FAN SL120 INFINITY is a very special fan that can be coupled together. Connoisseurs of Lian Li will be familiar with the frame of the fan.

This is due to the fact that the manufacturer wants to install the same frame, which is already known from the SL120. However, the hardware expert now gives the fan an infinity mirror. Through this, the fan presents itself in a completely new look.

Upcoming products

While prototypes usually take some time before they even hit the shelves, Lian Li has also unveiled products that should be on our store shelves soon. In addition to the compact Lian Li Q58 and A4-H20 cases, the case expert is also looking to launch premium models in the form of the Lian Li O11D EVO and V3000+.

Lian Li Q58

One of the most practical visual features of the Q58 is probably the interchangeability of mesh elements and glass elements. On top of that, SFX or ATX form factor PSUs can be mounted to the motherboard tray without the need for removal. Regardless of which PSU configuration you choose, you can install triple-slot GPUs.

This was not yet possible in the original prototype. Another change from the prototype of the Q58 unveiled in February is the extension of the connection cables at the front audio ports. The cable length has grown by 50 mm here.

Lian Li A4-H20

Another compact case that Lian Li has presented goes by the name of A4-H20. Here, the case manufacturer has cooperated with the company DAN Case. This is definitely beneficial for the design. Especially fans of sharp-edged designs will be happy about the design of the case in general and the front in particular. While the ports were still on the right side of the prototype, they have now been moved to the left side, including the power button.

The size of the case has also changed. Thanks to the increase in size, there should now be more space for components. Besides an additional drive slot (2.5 inch) at the bottom of the case, triple-slot GPUs should also fit into the case. Another practical change compared to the prototype is that you can now remove the bezel for the radiator with a size of 240 mm.

Lian Li O11D EVO

Especially visually, the now product-ready O11D EVO has changed so much compared to the prototype from the beginning of the year. In particular, Lian Li has redesigned the surfaces with mesh. According to the manufacturer, there have also been some changes to the originally planned features.

For one, it should now be possible to change the side of the I/O panel. Also, the ability to remove the radiator bezel next to the motherboard without tools is new.

Lian Li V3000+

To deliver a suitable model to friends of flexible cases, Lian Li also wants to launch the V3000+. This is a dual-system case that relies on modular panels on the front and lid.

The company has also revised the cages for drives. Now a whopping 20 hard drives should be able to fit inside the large case.

Price and availability

Lian Li has by no means kept quiet with information during its presentation. But, breaking it down, this is also just an update of development progress. Unfortunately, the company did not comment on release dates or even prices. However, we can assume that we will hear more from the case expert soon. What we know so far sounds promising in any case.
